I think his rookie contract is up in 2009....do you guys think we will resign him? He has done a solid job at RT
 
With his play this year, considering it's a contract year? I would not be disappointed if we let him sign for top RT money elsewhere. Honestly, RTs arent' hard to find.

I guess I cant complain too much....I just hope that he shows improvement. I know he has the potential for it.

To me Carey is the least of MIA's worries right now. I think that they will focus on re-signing Bell and Crowder and if a quality RT isn't available in the draft, we can always franchise tag Carey.

To me worry about Bell and Crowder and then see if you can re-sign Carey. If all fails, tag him.
 
i think Carey wld be a better Gaurd than tackle, just like L davis for cowboys, not in same class but i think he wld make pro bowl gaurd.

but dont give him top dollar

And I don't want misunderstanding. If he wants top 1/4 NFL average for RTs? I'm ok with that deal. However, if somone rolls in with a top 5 RT deal....Hey, Vernon..Go with god and get your money. I don't hate you.

Nor would I pay him if it were me :)

Franchise tags are handed out b4 the draft... and VC isn't worth top 5 lineman money.
 
I think we will franchise him. We have enough cap room to do it for this year while a rookie is learning behind him. I don't think the fins would want to be committed to him long term though.
 
Well,the Cowboys right tackle Marc Colombo is in his
final year and i haven't heard any talks about a new
contract.Btw, Parcells is the one who got him.I think
he'd be a nice fit for this team.

I have to disagree mr ed. Carey has more value than crowder. Its harder finding a great tackle than LB.
