That is awful. One of the reasons is because we have to pass in that situation and Chad doesn't have the arm necessary for many of the routes to get the first.
We ended that streak today when Pennington hit Davone Bess for a 10-yard gain on third and 8.
Still, it's clear that we struggle to convert long third downs when the defense knows that we're going to throw.
I know what you mean, I mean Penny is only fourth in the whole league in average gains per pass at 8 yds per and is 7th in the whole league in QB rating. LOL pathetic.
No, I think your the one that has no clue here. The bottom line here is the offense was efficient enough to win today, the QB made the plays necessary to win and folks want to point at the QBs arm strength for plays that were not made, which were on defense today and not offense. And i dont want to make anyone look dumb I'm just pointing out the facts.you absolutely have no clue what he said or means.
you just sent out a sarcastic response trying ot make him look dumb where in fact he was stating the obvious that i guess some posters "ahem, ahem" can't see due to "numbers and stats recorded"

as your buddy hugo said, "Just facts, huh? I'm not the smartest man in the world, but it sure does seem like a lot of these "facts" are poorly shrouded opinions."
First of all, he's not my buddy. He just happens to be a fellow fan whose opinion I happen to agree with in this instance and a few others.
Secondly, he did point out factual data. You should try it sometime. It's fairly enlightening.
In any case, after seeing your latest string of posts and responses in several threads today, I think I'm just going to ignore you assertions from here on out.
You're certainly entitled to your opinions and I'm sure you're a passionate fan of the Dolphins, but I don't enjoy the childish personal insults and the lack of insight/analysis, so I'll just let you be.
You can point out all the statistics you like about Pennington,
If you think that he is a sufficient QB to have in a long yardage situation you are sorely mistaken.
I love his accuracy, and some of his throws are flat out terrific, even some of the deeper ones. But the fact of the matter is his bread and butter is short stuff, his first look to the RB or the TE short, and that just isn't going to fly on 3rd and 10.
