Very Well Put Rich Gannon Show

Rich Gannon is not being objective, he worked with Flynn and coached him. Obviously, he is disappointed that Miami would not sign him.
The bottom line is that Gannon's job is not tied to Flynn's performance, Philbin's is. Coach Joe did not think Flynn was the right guy.
End of story. Gannon is just piling on..with his very weak style..Cefalo sounds more forceful than Gannon.

The bottom line here is that Ireland is just trying to keep his job by making all the safe decisions,...or procrastinating with indecision...all to keep his paycheck. The sooner he is fired, the better.
The stench of Parcells is still in the building as long as Ireland works for the Fins.

I was listening to this earlier...Most of what Schein and Gannon said was speculatory. They dont know how much money Miami offered Flynn..They dont know what was promised...Matt Moore earned a chance to be the starter next year..Did Tavaris Jackson? Cause Flynn still has to win the starting job from them..Gannon said he has to wonder who is scouting the qb's...but does he know who was scouting them for Seattle? They let Matt Hasselbeck go..he is still a starter...they traded quite a bit for a third string qb in Charlie Whitehurst..how did that work out?

Seattle is all of sudden super smart and Miami super dumb...Not buying it...

If anything Gannon just reiterated what we were thinking about Flynn, Philbin doesn't think he is an NFL starter.

If Philbin even thought Flynn had a chance to be a Franchise QB, Flynn is wearing Aqua and Orange.

Why does everyone assume it was us that didn't want Flynn ?

Philbin will have seen a lot of Flynn in practices but it works both ways. Flynn will have seen a lot of Philbin too and will have his own ideas about whether he will make a HC. Maybe Flynn simply saw another team as a better option - much like a lot of others of late

Because they believe that when we get turned down it is always our choice. They believed Ross when he said Sparano wa his guy, etc.....

Very good point, but if Miami offered a better deal money wise than Seattle, there is no way Flynn turns that down.

The fact that our contract to Flynn was not to his liking, is very telling of how Philbin feels about Flynn.

If this were true Flynn would never have flown across the country to talk to Miami after talking to the Seahawks. In doing so, he took a chance that Seattle might go another direction, and Flynn being left with Miami, and that Coach he had no faith in. It's pretty obvious it was Philbin that was not 100% sold on Flynn.

I guess Flynn was "right enough" to bring him down and have him take a physical

Maybe he was right....... AS A BACKUP!! Not at 8 million per year, which would make him the default starter. Why pay that much when Philbin may believe he has the same talent level as Matt Moore. The fact that Miami offered Gerrard unguaranteed money is very telling of the contract we probably offered to Flynn. I believe the plan has been to draft a quarterback all along. We'll find out in about a month.

LOL
Jeez, we won't know about Flynn until the season's end. If he goes down in flames in Sea, some ppl will be eating crow buffet.

We wanted flynn on the cheap cus he knew philbins offense he is not a franchise qb we wamted him as a stop gap.

Whether you think Philbin not impressed with Flynn or Flynn not impressed with Philbin - fact is they met. Flynn has more to gain from that meeting than we do (bump the price up at Seattle)

I believe Philbin's hands were tied purposely.

ireland didn't want flynn. he got his way, just like always. I believe Philbin could have gotten down on his knees and begged for flynn but ireland's Agenda was on the line.

Until there is a disconnect between Ross (who I think really WANTS to win) and ireland IN PHILBIN'S FAVOR, we are doomed.
