http://www.miamidolphins.com/newsite/news/top_story.asp?contentID=5196 Miami Dolphins-allocated defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson and his Cologne teammates moved closer to a World Bowl berth with a convincing 30-7 victory over Amsterdam last week. Vickerson, who recorded two tackles, including a sack, was part a defensive unit that allowed 193 total yards, including only 22 rushing. In addition to stopping the run, Vickerson currently is tied for fourth in NFL Europa with 3.5 sacks. The Centurions (5-2) are tied atop the NFL Europa standings with Frankfurt at 5-2.

So are they gonna be a part of our team this season?, im pretty ignorant to how NFL Europa players work for our team here.

They have the opportunity to make the team. NFLE doesnt really interfer with the nfl. Its just hard on the body for these guys.

Yea, I don't know if u remember . . . but Brock Berlin would go over their and then come back right in time for TC, so it gives project players a chance to develop more in the offseason. I kind of think that they wanted to send Vick over their, but he probably refused and they let him go . . . but that is just my speculation.

Doesnt seem like he was ever really liked here, kinda in the same place as Ricky Williams for different reasons. Thats kinda how i thought it worked, but are those players from our team technically signed to Miami or do we just have exclusive rights to them if we ever wanted to sign them?

Players who are allocated to NFL Europa by NFL teams are given a roster exemption to the final cut of training camp. That extended look plus the game experience is the upside for the players who are allocated there. Obviously, the wear and tear during what is the traditional offseason is a negative, but the guys sent to NFLE played little (if at all) last season.
