Can Vickerson even play the NT position? I know Soliai can, but I don't remember if Vickerson has played there before or not.
 
The door is now open for Vickerson to make the 53 man roster. It was going to be an uphill battle for Kevin with Fred Evans around. Fred had become a favorite of Randy Mueller and Dom Capers.
 
Vickerson does have a big problem with jumping offside. One game in Europe he jumped 3 times on one series and the commentaters said the coaches said he has a problem with that.
 
Soliai will be better, to bad Evans couldn't control himself he had a lot of potential.
 
Soliai is a NT and Vickerson will be depth behind Holliday and Wright at the DT position.

Here is how I see the inside depth chart:

NT: Traylor - Soliai
DT: Holliday - Wright - Vickerson
 
Both... And they will be quite the tandem! I'm not even worried about TRUCK playing with those 2...

I agree with Crypt Keeper though.

I believe that, despite Kevin Vickerson's success in Europe, Paul Soliai is going to be the back up to Keith Traylor. If for no other reason, because Soliai is a 4th round pick of the current coaching staff. What do you think?

It better be Solia hands down because we're in trouble if its Vickerson. Vickerson is OK for backup because we know what he can do we HOPE Solia can do better!
 
We need a 2nd back-up. But just don't expect the 3rd string NT to get many plays... However with the way they rest Truck he'll get a lot of practice reps....

I agree, even though Vickerson did impress a few years ago, and has looked pretty solid since then, most (including myself) must be intrigued to see what Soliai can do. If what is written about him is true, he is going to be Traylor on steroids, and if we are lucky he may prove everyone wrong and show he can also pass-rush when needed.

I still believe Vickerson will end up as a 3-4 End or 4-3 DT.....Soliai is strictly NT, and the heir apparent to Tractor Traylor.
 
Wouldn't Vickerson be better served as a 3-4 DE/DT instead of a NT, he's just not that big? I can picture him being Matt Roth's backup in the 3-4 and behind Vonnie and Rod Wright at DT in the 4-3.
