Kevin Seifert, of the Minnesota Star-Tribune, reports during an appearance on KFAN-1130, Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress downplayed the possibility of adding veteran free agent QB Jeff Garcia (Eagles) this year due to the club's incumbent presence at the position. "There was enough furor over a 37-year-old quarterback [Brad Johnson] this year," Childress said. "So I'm kind of surprised [to hear about] Jeff Garcia." Garcia will turn 37 later this month.

I really thought Quinn would be ours but after hearing all this, if we dont trade with Washington you can forget Quinn..

This is Childress back peddling faster than a DB after revealing a bit too much of what he will and won't do in the draft which is always a bad move.

This is smokescreen patchwork.

 @ Childish's half-assed attempt at inducing a trade-up smokescreen...normally, it helps if you don't make the comments in the first place..

He put his foot in his mouth about 11 times last off-season...trying to break his own record I see..

If there is a Coach I cant stand it is this guy.He looked like an *** last year after the DC scenerio. He just wouldnt let it go. I seriously hope the sucker doesnt take a QB I think they need Recievers big time. All I know is I hope Quinn comes to us...

I hate you Brad Childress! And if you draft Brady Quinn I will loathe you even more...

Hes doing this so people will think we have to trade up. Its a complete smokescreen.. Saban tried to do it once saying he wanted a dynamic playmaker at WR the year we picked Ronnie Brown trying to get the Browns to trade with us but they wouldnt do it

I don't think he will but you never know anymore! During some private workouts some people might start changing there minds. Its still early!

Childress thinks highly of Jackson.
And he almost messed up on making his pick seem valuable to somone
