Vikings | Team could trade No. 7 overall draft pick
Thu, 26 Apr 2007 18:43:43 -0700
Don Seeholzer, of the St. Paul <A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/26">Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings president of player personnel Rick Spielman said that he has talked to teams that are interested in trading up to acquire the Vikings' No. 7 overall draft pick and one team that is interested in trading down to it. Spielman said, "If anything happens, more than likely it wouldn't happen until draft day, and probably not until we're on the clock."

I wonder what it would take for us to move up to #7??????

why would we want to is the question, if Minny doesnt want #7 and Quinn is there then we would just wait for him to come to #9

Rick Speilman would pay us in full if Quinn is available at #7 and he trades down with us for our 7th rounder. :)

Then and only then I will ever forgive Speilman for the horrific job he did with our team and the salary cap.

all this marty booker trade talk has me thinking send him to the vikes and #9, and maybe a low pick if they must, for #7.

i wonder if they would want him, especially being familiar with him for a few seasons (which happened to be his best).

why would we want #7,.....Atlanta is #8 and they wouldnt take Quinn....no reason for us to move up 2 spots

I don't want to make any deals with Speilman. Even if it was two 7th rounders for the 7th overall pick (which I wouldn't doubt)

Oh Rick will hold his own. Trust me, he will do what ever he can to hurt us.

It may take our 6th and two 7th rounders to get his #7 overall pick.

I don't think Vick is the solution in Atlanta for several reasons, drugs, organized dog fighting, giving fans the bird... I don't know who their back up is, but it's not Schaub anymore. I wouldn't be all that surprised if Atlanta was looking for a quarterback.

If the Browns don't take Quinn he will be there at 9. (I think)

We're not trading up. Mueller wanted a lot of picks and he has them. We will get younger.

we will get quinn at 6 or 9 write it down the browns will take joe thomas or adrian peterson and the vikings will draft landry!

Since it's Spielman, I think he'll give us a pick for Minnesota to move down. So, we should be able to move up to #7 and get another pick in the process.

If Quinn is there at 7, there may be teams wanting to leapfrog the Phins in order to snag him. This has nothing to do with the ATL and Ron Mexico.

Good point.

Although with Vick's recent trouble with the law they may look at a QB.
