Vikings | Team wants first-round pick for Culpepper

Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports the Minnesota Vikings are asking for a first-round pick, and possibly more, in exchange for QB Daunte Culpepper. With Culpepper coming off a season-ending injury, the chances of the Vikings trading him are slim.
 
haha screw that. frerrote is good enough for me in that case and thats VERY bad
 
His knee is swiss cheese and he's an int. machine... stay out of Miami.
 
I would not give a first for him. His stock really dropped last year when he played that bad without Moss and Johnson came in and played well.
 
Pure posturing on Minnesota's part. Culpepper really ticked off the new owner by asking for an extra $10 mil bonus the year after he'd just been renegotiated. I don't see him staying in Minnesota. No one is giving up a #1 for a QB coming off a major knee injury. Particularly with a couple of other solid QBs coming available. (Brees, Bulger)

wouldnt we also have to pickup his 100 million contract? if thats the case. and they want a 1st. shhheeeeyyitt! they must be out the damn minds.

I think alot of times teams come to terms with the other team and then they talk to the player and his agent and come to terms with them before pulling the trigger on a trade. I'm pretty sure that's what KC did with surtain last year.
