I know he's old. I know he has had lingering knee issues. Again, he's old lol

But how would you guys feel about a signing him to a cheap deal as depth or possibly to start inside?
He has high character in terms of leadership---{bounty-gate affect character?}, coaches love him, but most of all his play calling could be ideal to have in a rotational role. I think our LBs could definitely benefit from a guy with his experience.

Just an idea. I'd like to see what Tripp can bring to the table as well.
 
For depth and mentoring he would be a great addition to this team. He has championship experience, played in a great defensive system, and may have some fuel in the tank. He may be asking for too much money though, which is probably why no one has rushed to signing him.

Vilma is 32, and only played in one game last year, making one tackle.
 
well...anyone would be an instant improvement if it means Phillip Wheeler gets to spend more time on the bench.
