Visanthe Shiancoe

I see where Shiancoe is traveling to New England for a workout to be 3rd tight end on the team. It wasn't so long ago that Shiancoe was a pretty formidable Vikings weapon. We have Fasano, Egnew and Clay, as our top 3 TE's, but we also have Yeatman, Mastrud and Brown fighting for spots on the 53 man squad.
Any merit in taking a look at Shiancoe?

I don't think we need him. We have Fasano, Clay who should be improved at TE, and Egnew.

Imo, no need for a guy who will soon be too over the hill

I think I remember him getting hurt in multiple seasons. Might just be to much wear on the tires?
