Vontae and Smith switching sides

I was just wondering why exactly Sean Smith and Vontae were switching sides. Does anyone know if it was just that one particular practice or if they have been switched this entire offseason? Is this for some type of schematic advantage for Nolan? Or possibly they are going to let Vontae follow around the other team's top receiver (or specific receiver). What do you guys think?

Many teams position their cornerbacks based on matchups, but Miami positions them by assigning particular sides for the most part. Last year it ended up being that Sean Smith matched up against the teams best WR most of the time. Obviously Vontae is better, so to keep their same strategy of assigning a side of the field, they are just switching b/c VD is better and thats where the matchups are.
