Vontae Davis in line for possible D-ROTY

25 solo tackles, 2 picks with one returned for a TD, and now a pretty decent 7 PDef...

I know some other rookies are playing well too but if Vontae gets 4 picks on the year and more pdef he at least has to be in the discussion. Teams are testing him a lot and they're coming up with a lot of batted away balls and picks.

Wow how was he not drafted in the top 15 he is playing like a HOF'er at the moment... 10 pdef and 8 interceptions from the FS position??? I don't understand how coaches miss on players this bad

Imagine if Miami's FS was getting that kind of production wow we would be 7-2...

When I was watching the draft coverage, they had Byrd projected as a CB that's too slow to play CB. Really, on paper, he's slow for a LB (think he ran a 4.71 in the 40). But, that's why you don't put too much into combine times. Davis is playing great, though.

Byrd can't accelerate to the runner as fast as Vontae, and isn't as good a tackler.. gotta take that into account too I think Vontae will be in the discussion.
