Vontae Davis, Reshad Jones, & Cam Wake

I don't think that was a bad call. He held Smith which was the only reason he didn't get beat, granted it may have been under thrown anyway. I agree about Davis, this coaching staff needs to forget about practice and go with reality in some cases. This is one of hose cases as Vontae Davis is our best CB.

what it was was the wrong call...had the ref thrown the flag for the hand on the shoulder early in the route for illegal contact that would have been one thing i could agree with but calling pi for having his inside arm b/t smiths arms as he turned and looked for the ball...thats garbage...and steve smith even grabbed hold of seans inside arm as the ball was coming down to try and prevent sean smith who had the inside to the ball from coming down with it...

the pi call was awful...illegal contact past the 5 yard zone early in the route yeah i can see it...honestly though steve smith grabs and hand fights all the way down the field...play on

OK that mkaes sense to me because it was actually the early holding I was talking about.

Really surprised VD's name is thrown in there as playing bad. Dude was in lockdown mode during the first quarter and I didn't mind the penalty since it should have been negating on both sides. He looked in shape and focused. VD has a tendency to play well against elite players and play down to certain opponents. Thats him in a nutshell of being inconsistent thus far.

The Sean Smith PI when the flag was thrown I had no idea which was it was going to be called, actually thought if was going to be called the other way. 6'3" had inside coverage on 5'9" Smith on a slightly underthrown ball, thought Smith did a fantastic job.
VD is clearly our best corner, but the coaches rightly tried to light a fire under his ass and clearly they made the right decision.
Jones I couldn't really give you a strong opinion on, but think he will continue to improve and will be fine, he just needs more confidence and experience.
