this year we really get to see if vontaie was worth that first round pick, and if he is an elite corner, at least i think he was worth it, and is elite. He has some tough wr to cover this year. nicks, austin, vincent jackson, andre johnson, brandon lloyd, desean jackson, and bowe. i am pretty sure all of those wr are in the top 20 at the wr position so lets see how he does. thoughts

In my opinion, Vontae has proven that he can cover some of the THE best WRs in the league. I think he's already got some QBs in the league hesitant to throw his way.
His aggressiveness has gotten him burned though plenty of times. I love his play against the run too. What I'd like to see...and this goes for the ENTIRE secondary but particularly Vontae...is for him to haul in more INTs. I don't think there's any question that he's our best 'cover corner' but he has to develop into more of a ballhawk as well.

better put a safety over the top of jackson at all times, that dude will burn any corner.
