NEWS HOUND

The nominations are in and now it is time for the voting board, you the outstanding members of FinHeaven, to determine the winner of this category. Voting for this award will end on January 31st and the winners will be announced on February 1st.
 
Props to Daytona Fin for breaking the Lazor hire story :up:

He's been all over the GM/OC interviews. One of the reasons he got my vote.
 
As with the Deadzone voters of LeBetard's HOF nomination card, the nominators here got this strong field right also.

While it appears the conclusion is forgone (although with the protracted time span you never really know fersure), whether it ends up being symbolic or not, I'm casting my vote for one of this forum's under-appreciated, valuable members and worthy nominee - who breaks more than his fair share of impactful news : Daytona Fin.
 
Alright I gave you boys a head start now it's time for me to play. Thanks to fishfan and vaark for the recognition and votes. I see the pofo and nublarmaniacs have already cast their choices. Good luck to casas, dkphin and phindog. It's an honor to be up against all five. But it's time to take the gloves off and get dirty!

Daytona - full marks for your creative exploitation of gratuitous a$$ to raise awareness of your fine contribution to finheaven news hound. A worthy candidate whose modesty is only matched by his fine eye for fine women.
 
So suddenly, within the past couple of days this poll shot up to the second most votes and far and away has the most members read. Even more than best overall poster. Coincidently, all these new recent votes went to the same person. Someone wants to win real bad and at all costs. :lol:

The funny thing is if u look at the nominations threads, newshound has one of the lowest members read total. Half the total of many of the other nomination threads. It is around 50. It had less members reading it than the ladies lounge nomination thread. But suddenly it went from one of the lowest to now the highest since a certain someone was getting creamed in the polls and needed a bunch of votes

I mean I'm sure it's all just coincidence. :lol:

I am more than happy to share with you the results of who voted for who. But I will have one of the other Admins give you the behind the scenes results because I don't want you to think the results are faked or there is some sort of big conspiracy if I send you the results. Some times people lose, it just happens, and with two weeks left in voting I know this might be the first year where I don't win this category. Whether I win or lose the results are legit and myself and any other admin can prove it. That goes for every voting thread this year and previous years.

Noones crying. Just laughing at you like we usually do. And youre right, internet polls are definitely serious business for certain people. Very serious for them

Was it the laughing emotes and the mocking of u that gave it away? You know as well as the rest of us that these awards mean exponentially more to u than us. We have fun with it and joke around but at least everything we do is out in the open.
