WADDLE & ACHANE: Reasonable draft pick compensation?

Id pay him if we weren't rebuilding. But in a rebuild? You are paying him to lose and when we can finally start winning his legs will be shot.

It doesn't make sense to pay a RB during a rebuild
This times a hundred.

Even in my aggressive trade down scenario I was only able to get three wide receivers, a quarterback, a defensive tackle and two offensive linemen in rounds 2-4.

Rosters are improved every year. Roster improvements and changes do not constitute a so called "rebuild."
Rebuilds are done to improve points scored or allowed, offense or defense, or both for a full rebuild with a goal of competing for Super Bowl.
To do that, all that is needed is a QB and a DC. A QB who can compete for SB, and a DC who can compete for Super Bowl.
The rest is normal roster improvement that happens every year.

Put aside free agency, because it’s not possible except for minimum salary players. Absent massive trade downs, how do you get a new offensive line in and of itself in one year?

He's not even a top five running back. No one with a functioning brain is taking Achane over Gibbs, Barkley, Taylor, Dobbins, Cook or Robinson. And for just one year, Henry.

Then we have Jefferson, Chase, Nacua . . .

Just ridiculous.
Dobbins? One of those things is not like the others lol

We can get two starters in the draft. Either two guards, or a guard and right tackle. We have 8 picks. Plus the UDFA.
I would go two guards, right and left. Jackson is coming back. I would look for a RT in UDFA.

I don’t like the thought of trading either of our two best offensive weapons, but curious what are the board’s thoughts on what is reasonable draft pick compensation if we do trade them.

2 first round picks each...Yes, I really don't want them traded unless it's because the other team(s) wants them at all cost, and willing to pay insane prices.

With better run blocking, he is probably a top 1 back. Do you remember his rookie year? That's kind of what you could get if the line just gave him a little room,a little space to run through.

Are you dating Achane's sister?

Dobbins, Cook, Dowdle, Williams and Taylor all have more rushing yards and yards per carry than Achane.

Achane ranks 13th in yards/game. 13th!!! And 11th in yards/carry. Top five? 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

What a ridiculous take.

So you think Miami has a good run blocking line? Interesting. 🤔

Again, let's see who the pros select for the Pro Bowl. Will I need to remind you to post a mea culpa, or will you remember to do that all on your own?

Ah yes, the ol' popularity poll selections...That should tell us who the best are.

Not sure what you’re looking at but he’s definitely a top 5 RB between his rushing and receiving numbers. His fantasy numbers are off the charts which is a very good indicator of how impactful a player he is. Put him on the Chiefs, OMG.

Yeah pro bowl should definitely the deciding factor…. Or hear me out, most fans are dumb like yourself and don’t think about situations that heavily impact play.

Tua statistically is a top 10 qb from 2022 to 2024 so are you in the opinion that we shouldn’t give up on him in hopes he returns to form or are you of the opinion that maybe just maybe stats aren’t everything and there’s possibly other factors to think about? Or do we only pick and choose when stats are the end all be all?
Fan votes are only 1/3 of the votes for the Pro Bowl rosters, Dunce. And they have zero input in the All-Pro selections.

Stats, Pro Bowl, All-Pro, PFF rankings . . . take your pick, by any of these measures the Dolphins don't have a single star player. Including Achane and Tua.

What standard would you propose? Whoever you just think is good? 🤣

Try again.
