I wonder where he Stacks up with the all time greats in their first two years :)Waddle is legitimately a HOF caliber WR.
Rookie reception record.I wonder where he Stacks up with the all time greats in their first two years :)
The only issue I have had with him is he has had too many drops on balls he should have caught. Hopefully that aspect of his game will improve and if it does, I agree he is a HOF caliber WR.Waddle is legitimately a HOF caliber WR.
Yeah I think hes on pace that’s for sure :)Rookie reception record.
Led the league in 20yd receptions in yr2.
2400 total yards in first two seasons.
I have to think it's fair to say he's in pretty good company.
Not sure where you're getting those numbers. The only issue I have had with him is he has had too many drops on balls he should have caught. Hopefully that aspect of his game will improve and if it does, I agree he is a HOF caliber WR.
Hill had 8 dropped passes last year while Waddle had 7 dropped passes. Yet Hill had 127 catchable balls thrown to him and Waddle only had 82 catchable balls thrown to him.
That means Hill‘s drop rate was a little over 6% which is about the average drop rate in the NFL. Waddle had a drop rate of 8.5%. Hopefully both of them can get their drop rates below 5% next season.

Those drops are what I think keeps him from his potential. IMO he doesn't have natural hands. Compared to the other Alabama contemporaries his hands aren't as natural as Smith or Jeudy (he's way better than Ruggs). You see it in the drops and when he unnecessarily jumps for some passes. He's somebody who will have to put in the work catching more passes than the other guys to match their hands. (Note: I don't rely on drop stats b/c they are very subjective). The only issue I have had with him is he has had too many drops on balls he should have caught. Hopefully that aspect of his game will improve and if it does, I agree he is a HOF caliber WR.
