any chance there will be any notable names that get cut in the next few weeks; that dont make there respective team that the Dolphins can pick up for an upgrade of there own 53man roster????? maybe a cover corner, or another tackle? etc, or a FA?

Unlike last year where we got first right of refusal, we're pretty far down in the waiver wire pecking order to cherry pick the cream of the crop. Available FA cuts is another story though. However, like last year, I've got no doubt that Ireland with churn this roster as much as he can even if it only comes down to upgrading the 53rd man.

I thought it was interesting when I watched the game they mentioned that Ireland had said they have scouts out watching guys they had coveted in the late rounds of the draft to see if they get cut from their teams.

We desperately need to increase the talent on the depth of the oline. These back-ups suck. Maybe add some better talent to replace Green

Last year we needed a lot of depth and would take a look at just about anything. The team is not in that position this year. I would not expect the roster churn we had last year. The team is stabilizing.

Exactly. I thought the same thing. It's a good idea. It wouldn;t surprise me if we signed one or two guys that are cut.

I'm really not seeing how you could go Green over Bodden. But whatevs...

Who went green over bodden? Your mean our FO?

Yeah. I know Bodden was already signed once we took Green, but we seemed to hesitate until all the decent FA corners were signed. And IIRC, Bodden didn't sign for a whole lot.

wonder what they didnt like about leigh bodden
Who said they didn't like Leigh Bodden?

Bodden wanted to go to the Patriots from the day he was released by Detroit because New England runs the same scheme he was used to when he was in Cleveland.

They didn't go Green over Bodden or even Bryant McFadden. Jeff Ireland said earlier that they lost out on several cornerbacks they wanted in free agency.
