Can someone entertain and tell me why these guys aren't performinG?

I cannot watch them play live anymore because this is just horrendous , I listen to the game on the radio by myself.

Because the other team plays the Go-After-Nolan-Carrol gameplan.

Constantly being engaged by men twice their size. In the 3-4 its hard to create size mismatches. Our blitzing backers and secondary are picked up by linemen.

This team's defense is very highly overrated. While I was hoping it would not happen, I knew in my gut that this defense would fold on that last series. It's the Dolphins...that's what Dolphin defenses do.

He's just looked like pure garbage this season. Sadly, it has to be more than just him. Is it really just a case of the entire team giving up on the season, or Nolan becoming a predictable play caller?

Its not the players, its an organizational failure. Teams are a reflection of their respective HC's. Despite some mediocre talent in some years, Shula was able to get his players to play smart, fundamentaly sound football and that resulted in efficient football. In over 25 yrs, often picking at the bottom of the draft, Shula only had 1-2 losing seasons.
There is a malaise on this team right now that makes everyone look bad. Make no mistake, the problem is Sparano. They do not play hard for him and they shoot themselves in the foot in every game.

I was at the game today and the worst plays were made by the LBs in coverage, not Carroll. Players were wide open in the flats many times, and the LBs didnt cover anyone in the middle. Also, there was NO pressure on McCoy at all. We have got some great Run-stopping DLineman that cannot collapse the pocket.

Man, I am SO glad I didn't go. I almost did.

We have run stopping d linemen but the 3-4 scheme with a non motivated NT wont work. Go back to 4-3 and we will have our best unit on the field longer.
