"The team's top pass rusher, Cameron Wake, who was car accident earlier this week, didn't even make the trip to Carolina because he's recovering from whiplash"

As long as he is ready to go for week 1, he can take all the time he needs. Wake is one of the few guys on D that I'm not worried about at all.

Absolutely no reason for him to be out there, he's not trying to earn a roster spot. Its a long season and its probably better he takes it easier through preseason.

Damn he gets an extension then forgets how to drive. WTF.

The staff is wise to let him rest. No need to take chances with our only pass rusher.

No need to rush him back on the field in pre-season, although it would have been nice to see Cam Newton suffer from some whiplash tonight.

Learning how to be effective in our system was kind of important for Wake. This injury definitely hurts our team, there's no sugar-coating it. Our D-line looked TERRIBLE against a Bucs team that couldn't block anybody last season. However, if this speeds up the development of Vernon, then hurrah!

Pretty stupid post. Please read prior to posting something you have absolutely no idea about.

Any chance that other guy is on the Patriots payroll?! I think it's worth looking into! :) (just kidding, mostly)
Kinda like when Zach got rearended by the Patriots fan

No surprise for me.
I has been in different car-crashes (once while driving) and always required a time to heal from neck and back injuries.
As the accident occurred while driving at medium speed and using his seat belt, so it's unlikely we'll need more than a few weeks off, So I expect to see him on the gridiron a few plays during last preseason game.
