Wallace more comfortable: Mike Wallace said he and quarterback Ryan Tannehill have not missed a chance to work out together this offseason, other than the first day when Wallace was away. “We didn’t miss one day,” Wallace said. This might mean an increase in accuracy when Tannehill targets Wallace deep down the field — a point of contention last season.
Last year, “I didn’t feel like I knew what was going on,” Wallace said. “It’s still new, just because it’s a new offense, but at the same time I feel a lot more comfortable.”
Lazor is picking up the pace with Tannehill in drills.
“The quarterback’s got to play at game speed and that’s the first thing that we’re trying to do with Ryan from the very beginning,” Lazor said. “Play at game speed every day, and what does that feel like? The only way to learn it is to do it.”
