Well just as I and others said there was no way this guy was coming back after what he did. Players lost faith, coaches sick of his act, Tannehill sick of him. Many said no you cant the cap hit, the speed,he scored 10 tds, blah blah blah. Now you know you cant do what he did in sports EVER. Not to mention the embarrasing locker room puppet show with Gibson. I already knew Wallace was gone for quitting but immediately knew Gibson was gone for his shenanigans as well. You just dont do this in a work place. The Cap is meaningless. Teams find ways around it and nobody is uncuttable...The Saints have 9 million in dead money from trading Jimmy Graham. Theres no way theyd let this cancer linger...cut it out before it grows. Hate to be that guy who told ya so but yeah I told ya so. He quit after we scored a TD and people wanted him back...smh:3w:

ps I sold both my Wallace Jerseys on Ebay the day after The Jets Game #winning LOL

The puppet show was sad, from two guys that want to be big news players it seems (but they aren't).
I don't know why an player would think that was cool.

Ok, so you told us so.
Just curious why you had his jerseys? He didn't really do much with Miami (aside from opening up the game for others)
You must of got them on speculation, do you have any buddies that "told you so" when you bought them?

Actually yes I did. Guys told me that never works buying guys in free agency. I didnt care I thought we were getting a guy who could run all the routes with speed and him and Tanny would kill. What we got though was a malcontent with the catch radius of a hamster. His bitching and moaning became a bother and the final nail was the big quit. Yes I still have friends saying I told you so everyday here in Buffalo where I live lol.

Lessons learned, for sure.
I should dig up my post from way back at the start of the offseason, but my goal for Hickey and T-Baum was simply to have Miami "Get Smart".
If you throw big money around, that's okay, but do it where a guy is at the absolute top of his game regardless of the team and system he's in, people who have the EXACT skillset, stats and %-ages to make you feel smart about a player transitioning to your team; not just hopeful he'll morph into something new.
Ireland hoped, not Knew, Wallace will be a true #1. He clearly wasn't ready to be from his skillset. There was hardly any proof of him Not being a one-trick pony, yet Ireland made some wild, illogically-priced gamble that he'd manifest a new skillset. Hickey and T-Baum are moving away from that.
Other things like Hartline and Gibson getting paid handsomely -- for what? Gibson was a relative no-name on the Rams. Hartline has been productive but offered very little YAC and scoring potential. Why pay a guy mad money if you know he isn't excelling in these areas that your offense desperately needs more of?

It's a shame that the team still has to rummage through the Ireland junk this offseason, but from now on I think we're going to see very educated decisions on who's added or subtracted from this roster. Analytics, hard facts, not just hopes and dreams.

Wow, someone's a little obsessed with our back up RB.

and why shouldn't he be...any year now Thomas is going to have that breakout season...or game...or play...or breakout in hives...somethings breaking, you just wait

I think we learned 2 lessons.
1. NOT ALL DEEP RECEIVERS ARE BUILT THE SAME
Sure Tannehill could have thrown a more accurate deep ball, but Wallace never seemed to be able to make adjustments to ball flight or go up and high point a catch. The pro scouting department should have realized this and maybe Ireland would have made a smarter decision.

2. "RELIABLE RECEIVERS CAN'T DROP PASSES"
Gibson wasn't cut because he pantomimed Wallace's press availability. He was cut because too often, he failed to produce on tough catches. If you don't have the wheels to run by defensive backs, you better be able to run great routes and catch the ball with consistency. Gibson did neither, and he cost us too much cap space.

I never bought a jersey. Dont like WR's in general. They think they are too important. And the world pushes them along.

I thought maybe they could work it out but knew something was up when RT practiced with others and no wallace. then came the tweets.

Lesson: Draft kids like Tyler Lockett. I see he is coming up further on some boards. First he was around 80, dropped to around 90-100, now I see him around 60! Cahracter matters! Love that kid. I hope we trade down in the second and get that kid.
