IF we cut him, we save $2.5M this year with $9.6M in dead money. IF we trade him, it's $5.5M for this year with $6.6M in dead money.

Either way, we save his $11.5M salaries for 2016 and 2017. Total cap savings, over 3 years, is $35.1M.

And we need all of that savings for Suh's salary next year.

You would like to have a trade with more cap space this year. However, we could sign a player for 3 years for $12M a year, just using Wallace's cap space.

IMO, our FO tried to work out a deal for Wallace and Ellerbe. When it did not work, they said that "The tail is not wagging the dog" and moved on.

This FO is not playing any games, and is dead serious. Nice to see.

So basically by trading him we get the additional savings of the $3 million bonus he is due for this year on top of what we would save if we just cut him. Correct? Good 411 SB.

Why would I read your cap posts. They're not accurate.

So keep him, cut him after this year if anything?

If you can trade him, that would be for the best.

He's not a Miami Dolphin in 2016 unless he absolutely EXPLODES with chemistry with Tannehill and they become a top tier duo.

So yea, you get something now, take less of a cap hit now and don't have dead money to worry about in 2016 (which you would if you cut him then or made him a June 1st cut).

One thing is for certain, he's not getting cut. That hit is too big.

I would try to trade him. If no one bites I'd keep him for this season.

We only save an extra $2.5 million by cutting him now. Not much to work with. But we save an extra $5.5 million plus get compensation if we can find a way to trade him. To me trading him makes sense. Cutting him in 2015 still doesn't help that much.

didn't we already pay like 27 million dollars over the past two years to get to this year's "reasonable" 9 million (or so) salary? why cut him now (financially speaking)? if it's the attitude, etc. fine, but money wise, this year is his best value to us.

Guess all others posting on the cap, OTC, Sportrak, and mostly the rest of football's civilized world are wrong as well.

LOL
