If Rey did happen to fall to us, I'd love it. He's a very emotional player with a ton of heart. Great instinct and is a playmaker.

He's been choked up quite a few times within the last month cause he loves what he does and is the perfect teammate. He cares about everyone around him, not just himself.

Hey JT...what happened to make you take Clint Sintim out of ur sig?

For two reasons...

the one thing that's missing for this defence (well, the most pressing need) is turnovers. Aside from porter and allen from time to time, there's no one on this defence who make game-breaking plays. Rashad is a speedster with a very good head on his shoulder, and he has that knack for the ball. Some might think he's 2nd round material but when it's all said and done, he'll be a first rounder in april i'm pretty sure. Great if he slips to us in the 2nd but i don't think so...

while i liked the sintim pick... the overrall upgrade on the defensive side of the ball is bigger with that playmaking safety than a pass rusher. Roth and anderson are picking up the OLB gig and they are improving slowly, but they are. Roth has one more year on his contract, so there is no immediate need to draft a guy (you usually draft first rounders who will contribute right off the bat) at that position

That's why i see more a guy like larry english in the second, who's coming from a small school and would have a whole season to learn the position while roth is filling the spot... he would be a nice rotational player and a special teamer in his first year.

that's mainly why i predict a R.Johnson / L.English combo but there could be other names in that 2a pick... guys like Herzlich :D (but he won't declare... and i'd rather see him at ILB, but that's just me)

i disagree wholeheartedly

we have 22 turnovers on D... not bad at all

but joey is the only one gettin to the qb

i believe one of the premier pass rushers falls to us.... and we snatch em up

12 INT, 3 against the rams... what you also have to consider is that a lot of DBs are bound to be free agents and some will not be re-signed ... and overrall, i'd say about 10 to 12 turnovers weren't due to luck or good circumstances, but that's just me

Roth's contract status gives us that flexibility at the OLB position. At safety, i'd rather bring in top talent that will generate turnovers and be an instant upgrade over Renaldo Hill.

This being said... i'm still 50/50 for a safety or a OLB mostly because tyrone culver has been a decent player in his limited action ... I'm not saying he should start, but we could draft a safety in round 2 or 3 and let him compete with tyrone...

The last two games might help me decide

a S you will see shoot up the boards is Delmas. This man is doing it all. AND hes captain for hte past 2 years something our FO looked at during last years draft.

I rather go pass rusher 1 and S 2a b/c we need someone to replace suggs. Roth WILL not be a starter next year ont his team, you can BANK on that.

I have never seen delmas play so i can't tell...

I think to the contrary that roth will stay... he's just 500K on the cap so it's pretty much affordable and a nice bargain for an average starter and an excellent backup...

What do you mean by "replace Suggs"?

I find it interesting that William Moore is not on the first or second team.

yea we will keep him on the roster only way he goes is via trade but he wont start. thast for certain. hes not a starter at this position or defense.

Too slow to push a rush, donest have any moves past a bull rush which is what porter basiclaly does. his short arms and lack of speed have prevented him from having an 8 scak season so far. hes goood against the rush but thats about it.
