Upshaw having a higher ceiling as a pass rusher is debateable because Coples can line up inside or outside on the defensive line. As far as physicality, Coples reminds me of the Giants Jason Pierre-Paul. They both are about 6-5 280 and can line up at either DT or DE on passing downs.

Both Upshaw and Coples have the potential be difference makers at the next level and I would happy with either one.

i think upshaw lets us play 3-4 or 4-3 , so we'd be more flexible in schemes..and maybe the finesse @ his size makes for a better olb? id be happy with either also though

Coples and Foles

Well, I like Coples more than Reiff, but picking Foles gold any higher than mid 3rd round is not a good draft IMHO.

I would prefer either DeCastro or Upshaw over Coples, but it wouldn't be a terrible pick, at all.
If we pick up Coples at 9th and then Fleener or Weeden in the 2nd, I'd be very satisfied!

Well you should never judge any player based on an all star game but I still would draft him until thrid anyway at best
