Upshaw having a higher ceiling as a pass rusher is debateable because Coples can line up inside or outside on the defensive line. As far as physicality, Coples reminds me of the Giants Jason Pierre-Paul. They both are about 6-5 280 and can line up at either DT or DE on passing downs.
Both Upshaw and Coples have the potential be difference makers at the next level and I would happy with either one.
i think upshaw lets us play 3-4 or 4-3 , so we'd be more flexible in schemes..and maybe the finesse @ his size makes for a better olb? id be happy with either also though
