I've absolutely had with this moron! I see him standing on the sidelines with his arms cross with the deer in headlights expression on his face. And on the other sideline, I see a passionate Marvin Lewis showing enthiuasim towards his players, etc. I think one of two things should occur. If Wannstedt were to call a press conference and resign, stating that he's got too much respect for one of the most traditionally rich franchises in the NFL. Or, Wayne H. needs to get off his arse and fire him now!! It's 3rd and 10 and we run the ball!! What kind of buffoonery is that? Thoughts???

Wanny's body language conveys defeatism.(if thats' a word?) Whenever a camera pans to him he looks victimized, I'm sick of it.

If I were him I'd resign. I would've been totally embarassed at that halftime interview with Suzy Kolber. What do you think the other NFL coaches are thinking about him, watching that game? This team is in utter chaos. The penalties and the O line say it all.

The guy who is going to feel the real heat is Rick. He is now in the bad spot of having to fire Dave if it is done during the season. Wayne couldnt fire an inferno. He lacks the balls to do it.

I agree, he needs to be fired--TODAY. Of course it won't happen, but it should. This team doesn't respect him, and the display by his O-line for some two to three series was the worst I have ever seen. Wade Smith was embarassing. Who are coaching these guys? He is totally adrift as a coach, and you can plainly see it on his face, and in the play of the Offense.

Wannstedt is in over his head right now, and doesn't know what to do. I really believe that. And what's worse, his players and staff know it.

I am being completely serious and objective here. This is not some whacky off-the-wall, kne jerk response, but...

Wannstedt does need to be fired. He needs to be let go ASAP. His time is obviously done here regardless and the hope we are miraculously going to turn it around sometime here this year looks very bleak. This team has gotten WORSE over the last 3-4 years with the talent of players going UP. How do you have this defense, Chambers, Booker, McMike, and an adequate QB in Feeley and look this bad? Real easy, poor addressing of issues in the previous drafts and lackluster coaching. Wannstedt needed to cut the BS with "project" players he was hoping to turn into something.

I kinda see this real simple. Fire Wanny...put Trestman in. Our season will most likely tank but I liken it to putting an ill loved one out of there misery by pulling the plug.

And if he comes out of this with more "Pollyannaisms," he's gonna lose this team completely if he hasn't already.

Truth is Wanny should have been fired after last season. What would be the point now?

Actually, he should've been fired not 5 minutes after the season-ending New England debacle 2 years ago.

Someone tell me what the infatuation with Marc Trestman is all about. If that guy was named head coach, Miami wouldn't win a damn game all year long. He was a terrible offensive coordinator, yet some of you want him as the interim head coach.

Firing Dave in midstream is not going to happen. That simply doesn't happen at the NFL level. If it were to happen, the Jim Bates should be the guy that gets the interim title.

Trestman, Bates, who cares...just get someone on the staff to fill the void for the year. They gotta have more of a clue than Wannschmuck.

One thing I can side with Ricky on is that Wanny is a joke, and I wouldn't want to play for him either. Doesn't make what Ricky did right, but still, I can understand.

Last night as we were watching the game, they had Marvin Lewis "mic'd up". THey showed him as well as throughout the entire game screaming, yelling, talking to his players, getting on the referees, and basically DOING HIS JOB. And a FINE job he's doing too!! Imagine if they had Dave on the mic?? We wouldn't get a SOUND out of him...All we'd get is him telling AJ, "good job, son" after he goes 3 and out for the 9th time in the game or throws an int. After every single penalty he just stands there on the sideline (like a scarred little boy) just staring onto the field like he's lost..Why doesn't he scream at his guys?? THe O-Line needed some serious screaming right in they're faces all night long!! And Dave doesn't say $hit to them!! Randy McMichael was out there screaming at them! ANd he should!!! A little vocal motivation sometimes helps!! They stink then they stink...But if he gets in their faces and shows them he means business, THEY MIGHT actually try to pick up their play some...They'd never mic Wannstedt cause they know that it'll be one quiet night. How can Wayne not see the HORRENDOUS job he's doing??! And next year, when they clean house, they'd BETTER get rid of Rick Spielman as well...Some great Offensive Line HE built! That was our #1 priority this offseason!! And he FAILED miserably at it! Forget Aj...We can't even see what potential he REALLY has cause of these bunch of losers acting like they're blocking in front of him...Last night, every single play, they're D-Line looked like they were in practice and running right at the QB with no one there to block...It was a field day.

But I though you said "there's no way we could lose to the Bungles."

That's Lewis's style. Not all good coaches are like that. Tony Dungy is a very reserved and calm coach on the side lines. Bill Parcells and Tom Coughlin belittle their players on the side lines. You don't see Andy Reid nor Mike Holmgren going ape on the sidelines.
