I don't want to hear about Warren Sapp anymore. I don't think he's this dumb, I think he basically says the most "controversial" thing his puny brain can come up with in order to try to grab a headline. http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afceast/0-4-43/Sapp-calls-Dolphins-offense--disrespectful-.html

I remember a few weeks ago when the Gators beat the Canes he said it was disrespectful to run up the score when they kicked a FG at the end of the game.... I don't get it. Even though it was a close game until the 4th quarter and in College Football, margin of victory does matter to voters.

What a joke of a 'commentator'

But on the other hand he was spot-on about Al Davis's toxic influence over Oakland.

"The Miami Dolphins have trouble getting offense, so they're trying to do a lot of things to get yards, to fool the defense," Simms said. "They don't have playmakers outside right now at the wide receiver position. But when it's all said and done, it got less than 50 yards of total offense for the Miami Dolphins last week.

I like how at first he says Dolphins have trouble getting offense, but then mentions the Wildcat only getting 50 yards. So where is it coming from then? We didn't seem to have any problem on offense VS. SD or NE for that matter.

Couldn't agree with you more. How is it disrespectful? He couldn't even back up his argument. He is not well liked in Tampa. That's why nobody was sad to see him go to Oakland.

I'm still laughing about what Sapp said about Al Davis.

Al Davis knows football — it's just '60s and '70s football," Sapp said. "That's what it is. He's thinking that Cliff Branch is outside and [Jim] Plunkett is dropping back and you can throw it 80 yards down the field — deep ball, deep ball, deep ball."

LMFAO! classic!

I remember the first two weeks I was there, we played a preseason game," Sapp said. "Somebody came up one time and said, 'We're going deep right here, dog.' I said, 'how do you know?' He said, 'The phone just rang.' "

LMFAO! double classic

I'm sorry but I will forever know of Warren Sapp, for his comments about Al Davis.

Who cares about Sapp... and he has nothing to do about Dolphins football. Other than he has a show on Mandrich's 5-5:30 slot on fridays.

Good for Mandrich... but not much else.

He's now a sports 'entertainer'... whats next? WWE?

Haha I stopped reading when he called a football formation that's been around for decades 'disrespectful.' Now that's one dumb MFer.

Everyone knows that Sapp is an assclown. This is a guy that almost got into a physical confrontation with a sixty-plus year old head coach. Putting a microphone on that man is much like throwing water on a grease fire.

Ok I stopped reading when I saw Phil Simms was also asked about it. Phil Simms as an analyst is the BIGGEST dumb-a$$ there is. If I were Cris Collinsworth I would load the gun and shoot myself on live TV.

Neither one of them really made any sense.. This is football.. No kidding we have no playmakers wide Sims and thats why we use this package. So teams with no playmakers at the WR position are not or shouldnt be allowed to try new things.. Inside the NFL is kind of a joke now anyways. Sapp thinks its disrespectful because defenses can't really stop it and he is a defensive guy. Not to mention Sapp is one of the WORST analysts in NFL history. I like him, but just listening to him talk, when he gets a chance to, makes my ears cringe.

Warren Crapp isnt just the world's biggest fool.....hes the world's FATTEST fool also

I've never liked Sapp. But if I were a commentator, I would say controversial stuff too. Especially picking games. Noone remembers if you picked the winners that were supposed to win, but if you picked a few upsets and they win, ppl start thinking you are a genius.

aren't the best offenses 'disrespectful' to the defense......they seem to say, we're going to ram it down your throat and there's nothing you can do about it. Sounds pretty disrespectful to me. but who cares. don't like it? stop it.

He was probably saying that last year about the Ratriots offense when they were driving up the scores.
