If not, then he's an idiot and should be held 100% responsible for the loss. I saw the blitz, but I didn't really notice anyone get in for him to be forced to throw the ball away. He looked @ Hagan and just made the decision to toss up a trashy ball. He didn't even check out the other side of the field.

Who saw Wes Welker WIDE OPEN for what would've probably been a touchdown? He was standing alone at the first down marker, uncovered, screaming and pouting for the football.

On a side note, dropped balls aside, I see a lot in this Derek Hagan kid. I say give him the starting spot for the rest of the year and develop him - he's probably our future #1 WR, if not the #2. The drops are a concentration thing that all rookies will go through. He runs good routes and creates cushion well.. two of Chambers' biggest knocks. He's gonna be a special, special WR. I think he's only 21-years old too.

yea that one play lost the game...not the inept offense for 3 quarters or our not being able to cover coles

I wouldn't say Joey is an idiot, but the play was indeed rushed. I felt we could have used our final timeout to talk the play over. Its 3rd and 2, why not take the time to call a play. If you get the first down there is plenty of time to spike the ball and still run a few more plays.

OK, I don't see how you can blame Harrington 100% but not blame Hagan for his dropped third down conversion and dropped TD pass. Either of those plays could have put the Dolphins over the top. There is plenty of blame to go around in this game. Lots of players missed big chances to seal the game.

I just saw the play again.. he had no defenders near him.

Wes Welker was unconvered. Wow, that would've WON us the game, actually.

Hagan was grabbed when the ball was in the air too, but it was uncatchable.

100%? Umm no..

Anyway, someone on another thread claims there was a safety behind Wes waiting to jump the route.. Im not sure though, but Welker did look open to me.

You are a football noob. Go watch tennis or something.

Yeah, maybe if Welker scores on that play it's a win. But it didn't happen that way. Who's to say he wouldn't have butterfingered it like everyone else did today. Mare shanked a game-tying kick. Joey did virtually all he could to put that team in a position to win. Sure he threw another legit bad pick. Neither of those INTs were in the 2nd half. The team just isn't winning the games they won at the end of last years in that run. But, they're that close. But it doesn't matter. A loss is a loss, and a win is a win. I look for the positive in Harrington each week, and it's there. I don't see that same positive in Daunte. I just don't. Potato, pototo, I suppose

So - Monday morning QB the entire game down to 1 single play, over exactly how much of a blitz and how many split seconds did Joey have, and how many inches was Welker off the defender? Brilliant! :)

Looking at the "bigger picture" (just for a split second) I saw the Miami Dolphins open things up at 13:10 of the 4th quarter where Joey Harrington threw for around 200 yards and nearly 3 successful drives - mostly in the No Huddle Offense. Not Mike Mularkey's conservative running game. I mean I'm happy for Ronnie Brown today but - where was the balance?

Makes you wonder - WHAT would happen IF they allowed Harrington to run the No Huddle ... starting in the 1st Quarter?? Hmmm... does anyone remember Jim Kelly and the Buffalo Bills doing that and going to 4 Super Bowls.

are you kidding me? Harrignton moved us down the field every single time we got the ball in the 4th and Mare misses the FG and Joey should be held responsible? Come on man.

I saw him open too, but Joey wanted Hagan and threw it to him.

Spoken like a true Harrington hater/Culpepper supporter.

The answer is yes, he was blitzed on that play.

Yeah I saw Welker jumping up and down for the ball too, Wide Open. Bad decision by Joey on what possibly could of won the game or atleast forced OT.

I admit and take the blame for that statement.. it was right after the game and I said that out've pure anger without even thinking. However, my point is, if a guy isn't open and you've got time, it's the QB's job to look at another option. In this case, Welker didn't even have a defender lined up to cover him before the play started, and I think it was 3rd & 3, which should've made him the hot receiver to begin with because there was so much cushion. He was even more open when no one picked him up. It'd be a bit different if Harrington's pass to Hagan was actually catchable, because he was held.. but it's almost as if he threw that ball away without checking other options. Come on, QB's have to spot the mismatches before the ball is snapped.

I am a Miami Dolphins fan - this team sucks. I am not a Harrington hater.. I've called him an excellent backup from the 'Harrington to Miami' rumors began. I'm just tired of idiots calling him "the guy" when he hasn't shown anything more than average, if even that much.
