Washington is going to have a qb problem...would it be reasonable to inquire

He also had one of the best seasons in the last decade of any QB suffering 50 or more sacks and the only QB to do it without the benefit of a running game. And he was the youngest to do it.

That's just toughness for being able to play thru it, not stellar QB play. Most of those guys sacked that much did NOT play in the NFL with the rule changes geared towards passing games either. The last one was Kitna in 2006.

We are now extending excuses for Tannehill to other QBs? Really? How far are you willing to go?

You can't say a QB sucks in the NFL level, and say they sucked in the college level. there have been plenty of great college qb's who failed at the NFL level. Can't believe I have to even say that. McGee is one of Aggies best quarterbacks in their school history. Injuries is what hindered him his senior year. And tannehill took over mid season for Johnson. It's not like tannehill was holding a clipboard while trying to get the starting QB spot, he was a WR.

No **** Sherlock. Bottomline is that neither QB ever accomplished anything in the NFL. My point was exactly that. Tannehill could not win a QB competition in college. You also forget that he not only lost to McGee out but also to Johnson and was listed at #3 that year.

To answer your question, it's no one's fault. it is what it is. He has less experience as a QB, compared to the other crappy QB's that have came and went on the dolphins roster. If Tannehill was just as mediocre as the rest of the qb's Miami has had (hear a reference to henne a lot lately), I don't think he would have had the most yards out of all the other 16 or 17 qb's, since marino. Despite the crappy offensive troubles he's endured. And I know tannehill isn't 100% resolved on some of the issues. He needs work, just as the rest of the offense does. it's not like the offense is a well oiled machine, and tannehill keeps screwing up and losing all the games.

Please don't hang your head onto some accomplishments which mean diddly crap without consideration of play call, coaching, supporting cast etc. It is the same absurd comparison like year 1 when everybody said that Tannehill threw for more yards in his first year than Dan Marino. Of course totally disregarding the fact that Dan in his first year only played in like 10 games or so.

To be honest I have never ever seen such an excuse machine for a QB in Dolphins uniform in full force: not for Brian Griese, not for AJ Feely, not even for Fiedler. Never. The only time I can think of these type of excuses was JP Losman for the Buffalo Bills. He too divided the fan base and the media. Got coaches fired and hired. Got GMs released. And they had always the same excuses no matter who the coach or GM was. No matter who the WR or Running Back was.
"worst coach" "worst OL" "worst WRs" "worst RBs" "worst fans" "worst stadium" "worst weather" "worst everything"...

Year in and year out....

You bash the receivers for 12 drops this year yet not an ounce of credit for all the bad throws (behind, too far ahead, too low, too high) they pulled in. Those alone make up for those 12 drops. But yeah I know, anything within 5 yards of a receiver is a good pass. How about all the near interception throws this year? Missed open receiver? Always another excuse. "he would have dropped the ball anyways" "he would have run only 10 yards anyways" "Tanny was rushed" "stupid playcall"
Always something else.

Yet, you put out there stuff like 'most yards since Marino'. To who? Pretty much the same receivers you are blaming now. So they are good enough to assign credit for Tannehill but then they are the worst receiving corps we ever had.

I personally have not seen anything potential franchise QB yet. Not sure, maybe it is still coming. But as of this point I have only seen the potential to be a serviceable QB. Not a QB I would risk further attendance slips for nor would I lay out the red carpet for him.

I see a big minus though. He does not have the drive to become a franchise QB. I saw that last year in the last two games. If I consider myself a franchise QB I throw everything out there. If we play ****ty I try everything. Having my team on the bring of the playoffs I would fight so hard to turn a game around. I would put the team on my back. Instead: he is sitting on the sidelines, pulling boogers and making jokes with his team mates.
This attitude is really an extension from the beginning when he didn't even know how our division is made up. If I am drafted at #8 the first thing I do is make myself familiar with the franchise. Even before I look at any playbook. Who are my rivals? Who is in my division? History? A franchise QB has to identify himself with that franchise. There are successful QBs with much less physical tools than half of what you consider franchise material but they make up through determination, drive and the will to be the best every single time they step on the field. Tannehill just does not have that.
I don't see him being able to make every throw in the book in the NFL consistently either, he is lacking pocket awareness, his accuracy is in doubt, and he does not have the mental makeup to be a franchise QB. Right now he may become a serviceable QB. But the price we are paying for that is too high.

But who knows. Maybe he is turning around now and starting this week he turns out to be the next coming of franchise QBs. Hope dies last.

It's not like tannehill was holding a clipboard while trying to get the starting QB spot, he was a WR.

You know. That is usually not the worst option. Most QBs hold the clipboard at one point or another. It is a great way of learning the QB position as well. Maybe he should have held the clipboard here and get a look from the outside in.

You post a lot of crap with nothing to back it up. Just drivel.

Yeah, that's just a bunch of garbage. Arguing about things I didn't even say. Like Marino and his first year. Never said anything about that.

And you must just pick and choose what I say, because I specifically said tannehill isn't resolved of all the problems on offense. Get a grip and take a chill pill

... I have never ever seen such an excuse machine for a QB in Dolphins uniform in full force

Sentence number 1 is about Tanehill's accomplishments. Sentence number 2 is about Tannehill failures.

This is correct, right?
