My personal watch list for off season/all Star games/Combine...Sleepers list

Syvelle Newton, s South Carolina
Mike Walker, WR UCF
Tony Ugoh, G Arkansas
Kevin Kolb, QB Houston

Deshawn Wynn, RB Florida
Chasi Stuckey, WR Clemson

cant tell you much bout many of them. but i can tell you Mike Walker is a pretty good player.

and Deshawn wynn sucks.
 
One of the few names on there that I'm familiar with is Deshawn Wynn and he certainly does not suck. He's underutalized in Florida's crap spread option offense but when he does get the ball he looks impressive. He's a big back (5 10 235) with speed and shiftiness and I like him a lot in the later rounds.
 
S. Newton is a man without a true position. He has played DB, QB, WR and RB.
D. Wynn has underachievd from day on at FL.
M. Walker is just beginning to recover from the knee injury that forced him to miss the end of last season.
C. Stuckey is a speedster who needs a lot of work on his route running.
 
its amazing the past 2 years we've only drafted one player from the university of miami, the talent level on that team the past 2 drafts is insane

GeForce...you are correct in every evaluation. IMHO these guys are sleepers for some reasons. Newton is coming off an injury and has bounced from position to position and very recently became a DB. IMO he lacks vision to be a RB or WR, and certainly is not a QB, but he is a good athlete that has looked like a natural safety, I have seen some ball skills and he does like contact. Wynn is a big back with some speed but has not shown much in the way of inside skills he likes to run to the corner, but that may be a function of the spread offense....he ran better inside last year. Mike Walker is another player that has shuffled positions and is still learning to be a WR and as you stated still coming back from an injury, his numbers are off because Steven Moffatt cannot throw a lick, but he definetly has skills and speed. Stuckey is as you stated very fast and fairly elusive, he has short strides and gets seperation, what he also does is improvise route rounding alot of them off and does not come back to the ball well, he like to go upfield too much, IMO very teachable skills. Ugoh was recruited by Saban and has gotten better every year, he takes plays off but when he is on he is a beast in the run game, IMO he does not have the feet for LT and probably not RT, but inside he is more than capable. Kolb is a streaky passer and has more confidence than he should but he does have a good arm and their seems to be a swagger and some non measurables to him.

If these guys test well they could move up boards and may be bargains in the mid-late rounds.
 
How about Steve Smith, one mock I saw had him going in the third does anyone think this is right? I think his speed would be perfect to help stretch the field.
 
I think hallenbauch sucks major *** i hate his decision making just watch the BC game absolutely horrible

From the three games I saw of USC this year, it appears that Smith does his best work from the slot position. Smith not only has good speed but he has very good hands and is easily one of the best route runners in college football. Is he a third round pick? It's really too early to tell because he could surprise some people much like Chad Jackson did this year.
 
I live in Houston and see Kolb on local news highlights and such fairly often, the guys doing a good job there. Honestly, I dont really know if he has started potential. Still, Tom Brady popped into my mind for some reason, undervalued guy who slips way into the late rounds, comes out of nowhere to do what he has done. That said its more than a long stretch to compare the two ;)

BTW UofH also has a pretty good RB, cant remember the name but damn hes fast! Might be worth a look at some point for KR or something.

He did drop a sure TD vs ND.

I'm pretty sure he's only a sophomore.
And watch out for the OT from Central Michigan. Pretty good size and runs a 4.77 40. He will be a good pick in the 2-3 and we can get a playmaker in the first.
