Watch (sound on) our poor OL/TE blocking shut down an entire 3-play series for us. When Gase tells you "we can't block anybody," stuff like this is what he's referring to. Games are won and lost in the trenches and this needs to be a MAJOR focus in the off-season.

I mean Larsen aside, the fact that Asiata can't get in the field over him is so unbelievable that I almost think it has to be a preference to the vet over the youngster draft pick. There is no way Asiata is that bad.

And Gesicki . . .lol

very discouraging on a number of levels... SOS over and over...

The utilization of Gesicki is inexplicable!

Really hard to believe...

>>> great work as usual <<<

:)

Good job on the video analysis.
On a side note, I wonder what changed between the 2nd Qtr and the 4th?
Gase has Tannehill throwing the ball while backed up in this sequence, in a tie game; but doesn't let him throw in the 4th Qtr with the game on the line.
Where was that quick pass at the end of the game? Looked to gain some yardage.

I'm ready to make Gesicki the #3 te behind O leary and Smythe.

And clips of smythe blocking yet???

Gesicki didn't look like he WANTED to block on that play. Poor footwork, or actually NO footwork to protect the inside gap.

I got take over the coals on Twitter for saying this....

These people said they went to training camp and his feet are bad...blah blah blah.

This is what I have been pointing out for years, but this will fall on deaf ears here. There is a mob mentality that it is all the quarterback’s fault, and at this point, nothing will satiate the masses but an ouster of the QB and head coach. I have heard everything from “the OL play is just another excuse”, to “good QB’s make the OL better”, and several other ridiculous quotes. Unfortunately, the truth is that until this is fixed, the same results will continue, regardless who is under center.

I posted this in another thread but in the Gbay game, down 14-9 with like 1:30 on the clock in the first half on our own 5 . . .Gase let's Osweiller loose and we moved the ball a good 35 yards before a sack did us in to end the half . . . And if Brock had any touch on a ball down the field Parker has a likely touchdown on that drive.

If Gase can trust Osweiller in that situation, how on Earth can u not trust Tanny in the Indy game on that final drive.

I suspect Gase had greater concern about the shoulder as the game wore on. You're dealing with a QB who isn't 100% going in. Pile on the throws and the hits...

That part I just don't agree with. Obviously it becomes difficult to achieve optimal results when your oline is missing assignments . . . But Continuing with the status quo at QB while changing oline parts on end to no avail and seeing the same poor results is just stupid at this point.

U may end up right, but that conclusion is incorrect until u make a decent attempt at changing the QB. Seen many QBs overcome poor oline play and lead their team to success . . . .it definitely isn't some science but I will take my chances, especially in a league that is demanding $25+ million AAV on the cap for average at best QB play.

Maybe it isn’t Tannehill he doesn’t trust? Maybe it’s the OL.

Where did I advocate the status quo? I made no remark supporting or detracting from any of our current QB’s. You are reading into this.

Sorry, but I have to call you out on this. Please support the successful QB despite bad OL play claim you just made with some actual examples. I am not talking about single game efforts, either, I am talking about season long systemic failures from the OL as consistently as this OL over the years. Sorry, just not buying it.

Remember when Andrew Luck had poor OL play? Stacks of interceptions followed by nearly career ending injury. Russel Wilson? Fell of the face of the earth when his OL went south. Dak Prescott? Same thing last year.

Fact is, Tannehill never had a chance in Miami, because Miami never truly addressed this issue, and it, too, resulted in poor play, and ultimately, injury. By all means, suck for Tua if you like (he will bust regardless), or any other QB you like, but the exact same thing will happen. Interceptions, dump offs, tons of sacks, and ultimately, injury will crush yet another hopeful young rookie’s career and the Dolphins will plodd along in perpetual football limbo.
