Patrick Willis is a beast and could stuff our ground attack today. We need to be sure that someone puts a hat on him on each running play. If not we could be forced into a lot of 3rd and longs. We need to run at him, sideline to sideline won`t cut it today. Those off tackle runs last week produced nothing and it`ll be the same today.

Thoughts?

This applies to everyone we play not just Patrick Willis. Willis is second in the league in tackles and we have to account for him on every play. However with his speed and instincts it may be very difficult to get a hat on him every play.

I think with the addition of Takeo Spikes, Willis now plays OLB instead of ILB.

Note: The Dolphins have two players in the Top 20 in tackles with Yeremiah Bell (97) and Channing Crowder (94).

Today would be a great day for Miami to start out with a lot of misdirection plays just get San Fran flowing to one side and take right up the other on them. They are one of those over agressive teams, that arnt dicipline. WildCat could be very effective today as well, run Ginn with the reverse option.

Willis has to make all those tackles because the line dont stuff the run. If you block to the second level and trap or use misdirection you will have success. If its one on one he will make the hit and he rarely misses. The full back may well be key on some inside runs.

Spikes has always near the top of the league in tackles each season. Good pick up by the 9ers. I believe our team will be on a mission. i believe we want to make a statement.

It's not like the 9ers defense has to prepare of one back. we have 2 very capable backs. Add to the mix Polite.. and they have alot to think about.

Opens up the play action for some nice plays. A dual back field with play action to the other back in the flat could give us some nice opportunities.

Don't forget they also have to prepare for Patrick Cobbs who has surprised many with his play this year.

It isn't Willis we need to worry about...it's their NT, Sopoaga. He is the key.

Is he a big guy like Wilford of the Cheatriots? If so then Satele may struggle. I think the keys to the game today will be our running game and our pass rush.

Willis and Spikes both play the ILB position, while Spikes is the Ted position and Willis is the free roaming Mike Position.

Singletary will have them ready. This game isn`t a gimme and will be very interesting

I hope your right, and I also hope that Foster is going to bring something to the table today. That really hurts our chances that Gore isn't going to be playing. You guys are getting off much easier today.

We`re all excited about Gore maybe not playing, but Foster can be dangerous too!
