Gilyard. This guy is jsut special.Nothing more, nothing less.We dont have anybody at WR that can be labeled as such.Unfortunately, hes w/out a doubt a late 1st,early 2nd rounder....man,he reminds me so much of Roddy White(he was drafted late also in the 1st round of '05,by the Falcons).

Gilyard, Tate, Benn, they are all interchangeable at this point as tied for the 2nd best WR's in this draft imo.

Still want Bryant, but I'm cool with any of these guys (for me, I'd like Tate).

But hey, whatever happens, happens. Gilyard will be a pretty good NFL WR, so I wouldn't be opposed at all to getting him.

The heart that gilyard plays with is something that you just have to love in a player. True passion for the game that is what they need on this team.

Have to disagree with him being a late to early 2nd round pick.

The fact remains that there aren't a lot of teams in the NFL that currently NEED a WR outside of Us, Baltimore and Chicago.

I think he could be had in the late second/early third. I'd like to have a WR in this order:

Bryant
Tate
Benn
Lafell
Gilyard

I truly believe one of those players will be a Fin next season. I hope I'm not wrong.

dont sleep on Marcus Easley.Sparano has connections in Conn. And Easley is the ideal number 1 WR.He is listed at 6'2",216 lbs. and he runs a 4.4.Im not sure who I want after today....guess we'll see come combine.Hes scored a TD in 5 or 6 straight games,so you know he is consistant. And is having a career game today against South Florida in the snow.

I just feel Sparano is gonna go for his kinda guys, and Easley fits the bill.Hes graduating,is a phenomenal talent for a walk-on.Out of Stratford,CT.A real feel-good story behind his career, and I would love to have him in South Beach.

Where is he projected to go? Isn't it possible to get one of those wrs and then. Get Easely
later?

there are more teams. St. Louis, Kansas City, Cleveland to name a few. besides, some teams, like the Packers, bring in WRs even though it's not a need.

TB,DET,STL,WASH,CLE,KC,BUF,JAC,BALT could all use a WR at some point and I wouldn't put it past NE,SD to take one either.

gilyard is a nice player and an upgrade to what we have but i don't know that he's the #1 wr in the nfl that we need...and will he got off press at that size???

he's a weapon though no doubt

I have Uconn season tix. Easely is by far the best WR they have but he plays slow, catches the ball with his body, doesnt come back to the ball, he doesnt use his size to the best of his ability and falls a lot. He sometimes loses concentration on easy catches and tries to get up field before he secures, which is common. But i dont want him near our team within the first 5 rounds.

i am a cincy fan and went to the game in pitt, and i have to saw it was the best game i had EVER seen live. Mardy is good, but we dont need a #2 and he isnt a #1 IMO. he would be a perfect slot guy or decent #2. Also if you what a lot of his games, he drops some balls because he looks to run before he catches it. He is a HELL of a returner though

I dont care if your a cincy fan. I watched Gilyard and have seen his highlights.

he is a football player. He understands routes, how to come back to the QB particularly when a big 3rd down play is needed for a first down, and unlike Ginn, he runs up the gut on returns.

Dude knows the game of football. This is not rocket science.

forget about the size too. Size doesnt matter when you play taller than what you are.

Anyone looks awesome in highlights.. thats the points, i have seen him play on a week to week basis. Im not saying he is a bad player but he does tend to drop some easy balls. I think he is better than ginn but i justy dont think he fits out team. If we didnt have a ton of good #2's then i would be all for him

That pretty much sums it up. He's sure looked good in that game, but I'd much rather have Benn and I'd rather have Tate as well. Benn has about 40 lbs on him and will probably run about a 4.45. I'd like to get Gilyard, but I don't see him as the alpha dog type that we need so badly. I wonder if we'd take a flyer on the Syracuse guy, baggage and all. Maybe Pasquiloni will have some input on him, the Syracuse connection.

who is the NE Pats #1 WR? Randy Moss or Wes Welker?

I hate assumptions as to what a #1 receiver is or suppose to be. You either dictate you deserve to get the ball more, or you do not.
