I know theres plenty of places but is there one bar in particular that is the best?
Thanks

when i was living in gainesville, two years ago, my roommate and i always went to JP gators on 13th.... it was a dark and quite bar that always had every seat filled.... with two projection tvs and countless number of regular tvs around the restaurant... it was a place where you always had a good view on the game... always had a collection of fins fans as well as others fans...

i recommend the cheese fries and the burger.... with a pitcher of your favorite adult beverage on the side

i live in gainesville and i went to gator dockside which was pretty good with every game on pretty much its got projectors too

Calico Jacks.

The pirate bar is my favorite place, when I lived G-ville, to watch Dolphins' games. One time me and my friends almost got into a fist fight with some roudy Jest fans. There's ALWAYS Miami people there, although the amount seems to dwindle as the season wears on and we're not doing too well.

I never had a problem getting the game on the big TV.

It's not as "nice" as other places, but that's what gives the place character--that being said is it no seedy like JP Gators is.

ALSO, don't listen to anyone that says otherwise--and if you don't believe me go and check out for yourself. CJ's has the best wings in the country.

I second the vote for JP Gators. I went there because it never got too full and was close to where I lived.

I imagine Dockside is a really good place to go for games but never thought of it while I was up there.

We used to go to Gator City, back when it was The Purple Porpoise on University Ave next to the UF Plaza, not far from the stadium. They had a bunch of tv's in front including two big screens, and pool tables in the back with a bunch more tv's. Decent wings and drink specials. From what I hear, it's about the same now that it's Gator City.:)

see gator city and gator dockside always have way too many people, but i heard from the friends that the ale house had a huge gathering of fins fans but it was hard to get a seat.... and id rather personally be with a few friends some where and actually get a good view on the game, thats why we always went to JPs on 13th...

there was an old guy there that always wore the same hawaiian style old school logo dolphins shirt every week... dude was the man...

Calico Jacks on 2nd Ave!

Gators Dockside is a nice establishment, but if you enjoy watching football all day long, throw down beer & grub bar food while doing it, it's way too damn expensive! 2 years ago I easily spent about $100 to $150 every Sunday (Plus they charge an xtra $1 to chill your Jager shot! :shakeno: ). Alehouse is the same price wise.

CJ's, on the other hand, is a good bar with a great atmosphere and plenty of Fin fans (they always have the Fins game on the big screen upstairs plus 8 other tv's). Great place for wings, oysters and 2-4-1 drinks all day Sunday! I usually hang out here from 12pm to 7pm, eat and drink the whole time, and in comparison to the other bars I only spend $50-$70. For the 1st weekend I'd get there early (everywhere will be busy) but the other fair-weather NFL fans tend to fade soon after that and it becomes a real comfortable place to hang out with other Dolphin fans. Plus, I can walk/stumble home afterward.

The back of Gator City is another good place for a good price near campus to catch the games but it's a smorgasbord of fans. :hi5:

Man when I was a freshman there was a place called the Purple Porpoise that I used to go to....I'm gonna be at Beef O'Bradys...the waitresses are nice to look at, and they have a ton of screens. Look for the dude in the Jake Scott Jersey! Private Message me if you;d like to partake in a pitcher on me this Sunday...GO PHINS!

Didn't realize there were this many Gainesvillians here! Who's down to get together at one of the places for the Jets game?? I'd like to watch with some fellow Phin fans instead of being surrounded by Pats and Steelers fans which is the norm...

Joe's Deli on 13th used to be the best place in town to watch Dolphin games. They always showed the Dolphins on the big screen, had good hamburgers and $1 draft beer. I went there every Sunday for five years when I lived there. But sadly, it closed last year, the year I left town. Now I'm in Chicago and had to buy DirectTV to make sure I could watch this season.

I too left from Gville to Chicago. I live in Evanston. Can't get DirecTV in my building but at least this weekend they'll be showing the game (if it's not stormed out!)

Glad to hear there are so many Gainesville phin fans. I hope both the gators and the dolphins do great this year. (well we don't need to hope the gators will do great it is just bound to happen).

I use to go to Gumby's, when my gf lived in Gainesville and I had to drive up on weekends to see her. It's not that they have the best TV's or anything, but I love the food, and there was always a decent atmosphere in there to where if you're a fan of the NFL period (or have fantasy players) you could look over to another TV and share in that game for a bit and talk with the people.

My gf doesn't live in Gainesville anymore...so now I'll be spending my weekends here in Tampa/St. Pete. I've been watching games mostly at Kahuna's on Gandy Blvd, the St. Pete side just before the bridge. I might look to broaden my selection, though.

awsome im going to be up watching the GATORS kill then canes! and will stay until after the fins game. i will be looking around to see where i can watch the game. you will see me and a group of roudy FINS fans! hahah
