First off I'm a supporter of Miami Dolphins wins (not much to support so far) and could care less about being right about what I feel is best for this team at the QB position. With that being said whether you're a Joey supporter or a Daunte supporter you have to admit the offensive line played a much better game is pass protection today. Don't get me wrong I can think of plenty of instances where Duante held onto the ball too long and took a sack, which Joey didn't do today. However, I do not ever remember Daunte consitantly seeing the kind of time Harrington had today. At times it seemed like our O-line discovered a new concept called a pocket for the passer. It was good to see and let's hope they can continue to improve. I also don't remember seeing the line breakdown so fast that Harrington didn't have a chance. We've seen that a lot with Daunte. Kudos to the pass blocking. Whoever we go with next week I'm in their corner. But god we need to win.

i will admit i am a daunte supporter BUT i feel more comfortable with harrington in OUR offense.key word OUR.let me explain.i think daunte is a better QB then harrington but not in this system.it seems to me that our offense must have a QB that has a quick release which is joey's advantage over daunte.as we can see that he didnt take no sacks against one of the best defensive lines in the nfl.thats credit to both the oline and joey.but me being a good dolphins fan i will support any QB that is in(except if it were ray lucas:evilgrin:.i think if joey works with the first team this whole week we can win at ny next week.the reason why we cant win is both the obvious reason we just dont put enough points up and our running game isnt successful.ronnie is a good back but he doesnt have much room to do any type of pounding.

here's the way it works: Joey was getting rid of the ball so quickly it discourages blitzing and a fierce pass rush. the line didn't play better. they were just subject to less overall blitzing. With Daunte's tendency to hold onto the ball too long, it encourages blitzing. The line didn't play better. They commited their usual amount of stupid penalties and didn't run block worth a crap!

we wouldve had a running game if the Line played that much better. The fact is Harrington is sharper and makes quicker decisions. Whether those decisions are good or bad is a different story...but, he only got sacked once. that stands out to me. Harrington for life.

There's a difference between PASS blocking and RUN blocking.

Bingo!

You nailed it.

thats why harrington is a better fit so far for us.until daunte realizes it this is exactly the right reason.you got it correct

I agree, the O-line did a much better job of pass protecting. Now, if you can get Ronnie to quit juking and jiving in a hole and just hit it and go, the run game will improve. That was what Ricky did last year. That has frustrated me about Ronnie in his 2 years.

If we can only rid ourselves Mularkey.

yes, so everyone improved the pass blocking only, and for this week only in our toughest game of the season. sounds like our o-line is improving, (barf). im not saying joey played terrific, but he led us to a loss that wouldve been much uglier had Daunte started.

I think we saw a healthy Qb who was making quicker decisions. Most people automatically blame the offensive line for a sack but alot of times it's on the Qb also. After watching the Eagles/Cowboys game I am convinced that Drew Bledsoe likes being hit because he refused to get rid of the ball. Still the line is not very good as the dreadful rushing attack showed.

Look guys, when Daunte was starting I honestly thought the sacks were about 60 percent the O-lines fault and 40 percent Dauntes. I never blamed the offensive line for all of Dauntes struggles like some guys did. I've seen the pocket breakdown so quickly on Culpepper that the quickest release in the NFL wouldn't have helped him. I hope everyone here admits we did see that multiple times. We've also definetly seen Culpepper hold onto the ball way too long and take a sack. I would never dispute that either. Well today, we never saw the pocket breakdown quite that quickly, that's all I'm saying. We also didn't see Harrington hold onto the ball too long.

I don't get you guys logic? The guy throws 2 ints. that lead to 2 pats TDs. We lost by 10 points in a game where the defense dominated. Why exactly is Harrington a better fit. Because he released the ball quicker? Woop dee freakin' do. Because he's different? Did we win the game? Would we have a better shot of winning the game if Harrington hadn't had thrown those 2 ints. I don't get you guys reasoning?

Things could be worse, we could have Big Ben as our QB. Boy if we faced him week 1 I bet there would be like a 75% chance we'd be 2-3 right now. LOL!!!

We only lost by 10. It would have been MUCH worse if JH hadn't started.
That's the reasoning.
And how do you know this?
