A lot of posters rip Madison on here all the time. I don't think you are a true fan if you rip on a guy who was a lockdown corner for this team and one of the top CBs in the league for years. People get older and are not as good. I just hate to see a guy like Madison, who loves the game,is a true Dolphin, and is a great guy get ripped by the same posters who think Feidler should come back. its sad. show some respect for a guy who busted his butt for this team for years. he will be gone after this year and we all know it. Lets at least thank him for what he did instead of badmouthing him. I am sure NONE of you were doing such a thing when he was dominant year after year in the past.

I disagree... Its sports.... If Madison was like Taylor or Thomas... Meaning talking less..doing more, i would even then ...agree 10%... this isn't Marion we're talking about here.

Sam Madison is more a hindrance on the field than he is a benefit these days.

I rip on anyone who sucks and hurts this team and ruins my Sunday. Period.

Although Sam is the best corner we have now, I'd really like to see the guy catch a ball once in a while. It's like someone put boxing gloves on him. I can see where time catches up to a player and he's not as fast or as dexterous as he once was, but unless he has bad arthritis, what's up with him being unable to catch easy INTs?

And by, the way, I do appreciate Sam for all the great years he gave us. The problem is he will be a fairly high cap number next year. That means he'll have to redo his contract or he'll be gone.

I have never seen an nfl player avoid making a tackle as good as sam. It is an art form to him, its not easy thing to do.

That's sad, and seriously the problem with many "fans" these days. No sense of loyalty to players that delivered BIG Time for the team bck in the day. Maybe I'm old school, but I appreciate Sam for his attitude, and how well he played the hardest position in the NFL.

and yes, there are people on here who want Fiedler back..they also thought Feeley would be great this year and probably think Sage should start too. It is just lack of knowledge and lunacy.

Ever see Deion Sanders play?

I respect Sam Madison for what he has done, but he talks way to much trash and I dont think that reflects the kind of character of a team i like to route for. Sam needs to spend less time talking and more time covering db's.

SammySmif, your opinion on this topic probably explains your nickname too. How can you not be infuriated by Madison's noticeably sucky play every single Sunday, only because he was good a few years ago?? While you're sitting and watching other teams play this January, I hope you can find enjoyment in all the great memories Madison gave you (even though he was never as good as Surtain). There are fans (me) and there are naive, nostalgic aplogists (you). No offense intended, but grow a sack and call it like it is. Oh, and for the record if I was a season ticket holder.... I'd be even more enraged.

Sam has always been a talker. He enjoys the game, don't think for a second he is not saying those things without a smile. It's just that now later in his career, he should probably move to nickel..but let's not say that too loud, because we will most likely trade him in the offseason.
