The injury to David Martin is starting to weigh huge on Chad Pennington and the Dolphins offense with their two tight end sets. Haynos just isn't the receiver that Martin is and Martin last season was arguably the Dolphin's best TE in the receiving department. With Fasano's inconsistent play, I MISS DAVID MARTIN!!!

The problem is david martin doesn't play defense. The loss to indy falls squarely on the defense. Now there was some questionable play calling no doubt, however when you rush for over 200 yards, almost being perfect on 3rd down conversion and having the ball for 45 minutes USUALLY translates into an extremely poor outing for the other teams offense. USUALLY....

agreed, we are definitely missing david martin. His gains were always huge. By now he would have 4 or 5 catches for at least 40 to 50 yards, instead Joey Haynos has 1 catch for 20 yards

unfortunately we do miss David Martin. Haynos has provided next to nothing, and whereas Martin was a mid level tight-end at best, he was a red zone threat and could hold onto the football.

I agree

I am gonna go out on a limb and say that David Martin wouldn't have fumbled twice @ ATL had he been in Fasano's shoes.

Agreed, thought we would as soon as we lost him. He was becoming quite the PITA in the middle of the field last year. It's well noted that Chad P. likes going to the TE's now we only have one who's worth anything. Bringing back Wilford has even crossed my mind but never posted that foolishness here. Just think we could use another receiving threat in the middle who's bigger than 5'9".

badly, we have a one demensional te game..and this offense thrives off multi TE sets...we have a struggling fasano and everyone else is subpar as well.

You are right. Martin really shined with the spotlight elsewhere. He was moved to number 2 tight end and he all of a sudden started making plays. Is he on IR or just on a PUP list?

We Are Missing David Martin!!!

Who'd have ever thunk someone would be saying that? lol.

Over at PFF we were massively impressed with David Martin. Simply put there are not that many tight ends who are receiving threats and good blockers.

You lost a good un in David Martin.
