We Are Not Getting Quinn!!

I know the NFL draft is somewhat like Christmas to us football maniacs,and I really hate to be the GRINCH, But we are not getting Brady Quinn!! First off, we have too many voids to fill, to go giving up picks to move up.Jimmy Johnson train of thought... PICKS,PICKS,PICKS!! Secondly, what has this guy really done at Notre Dame?He had his moments but when he went against upper echelon teams like LSU in the Sugar Bowl, he was very mediocre... and I am gonna say it.. Jay Fiedlerlike!! Honestly, if he fell to the 9th pick I would have no problem with picking him. But as we know, that just isn't gonna happen.The league's asking price to move up to get him and a team with many needs as the Dolphins... This new XBOX is just way too expensive to buy!!!

look at russells stats in his big games. his are worse than quinns. he has thrown for a worse TD-INT ratio. there is only one difference in quinn and Russell and it is that quinn played on a bad team with no defense and russell played on a good team with good WR and good defense. they have three first rounders this year russell, bowe, landry and they had another good WR. its not that brady cant win the big games, its that ND cant win the big games and LSU, not Russell, can.

Good post...... Finally someone gets it!!! I'd also like to add that Quinn was still considered by most to be the best QB in College until that Bowl game and Jamarcuses Pro Day. Russell has a cannon for an arm and has loads of potential but he's also only started something like 17 games in college and is very raw, and not very well NFL ready IMO
 
Brady Quinn will work his *** of like Peyton Manning does when it comes to studying. You don't have to worry about his work ethic, or bad habbits, he will work until he's satisfied. The dude is a student of the game and can make all the throws, he is a can't miss for us this year and he will be the quarterback of the Miami Dolphins from 2008 to about 2020.
 
If Quinn is there the fins are taking him END OF STORY... We're not trading down for him. And by the way everyone notices the big Sugar Bowl game because thats the one everyone watched or heard of but all the other big games in the season like against Penn State and UCLA where he blew out the other team noone watched. Notre Dame doesnt have a good defense and Brady Quinn played from behind in most games. Brady Quinn made Notre Dame better the past 3 years and hes progressed in every season.

Jemarcus Russel on the other hand is a good player but the kid is dumb as nails when it comes to reading defenses. In the NFL when defenses defend the deep ball on him and force him to think hes going to have a hard time. JR is a heck of an athlete when throwing the ball but dont expect him to outrun anyone in the NFL by scrambling...

Comparing Quinn to Fiedler is like comparing a old broken down K-car to a shiney new Corvette. Or Rosie O'Donnell to Angelina Jolie. Either way, Quinn has all the tools to be a star in this league. Whether he is or not remains to be seen. We have got to roll the dice and take a chance if he is there and we can work a trade. I am tired of the AJ Feeley's and the Ray Lucas's and the Gus Frerotte's and yes the Jay Fiedler's. Suck it up and go get Quinn.
 
Everyone has their own opinion lets sit back and watch it all play out in 2 days I know i will be wakening up early this weekend. :ffic::jt0323:
 
We won't get Quin unless we trade up. I also believe the price we would have to pay to move up into the top 5 would be too much. I think he goes in the top 5.
 
I have already mentally prepared myself, so let's get Brown or (if we trade down with the Panthers) Ginn. We are still good if we get Kolb, Beck or Stanton and I hope we get them in that order.
 
This story is very near to be written.
I hope we may grab Brady Quinn by trading up some picks using our 3rd round, without throwing away the rest of picks or compromising future draft.
Even we can't get him, I'm sure this will be the best draft ever for this franchise.
 
ill be disappointed if we dont get quinn, imo ginn will be the next best thing.
