We are OFFICIALLY UNDER the salary cap

If it's true (which I hope it would be if it's been posted on the NFL site) then it looks like that 21-22 million number was definately erroneous.

I don't think it's true. As I read in the cap forum (go there for thorough explanation), our players reached incentives last year that will lessen this year's cap for us. So if the cap is 95mill, we had what's called "not likely to be earned incentives of around 9 mill because of the strong finish. Subtract that from 95 and we have only 85 mill of cap space this year without a CBA. This is really starting to suck.

Sadly that is incorrect. The salary cap is set at $94.5 million but because of incentives we have to pay, OUR salary cap is set at $84.9 million. With the moves we made today, we are still $5 million over.
You're breaking my heart, Nub. You're breaking my heart.

Who else is a candidate for getting cut, assuming no CBA is reached. Seau is a goner under these conditions. After that we'd still be 2.5 mill over. Are we really gonna cut Frerrote? Even with his cut, which would put us under, we seemingly wouldn't have enough for the rooks and any FA's.

So I ask again, who may get diced?

so once we cut seau and reconstruct with jt and thomas will we mostly likely be under and by how much?

Zgonina, Marty Booker, Jeno James are the 3 names that I've heard being the likeliest candidates.

this might effect is in free agency, but y'all shouldn't lose hope we went 9-7 last season with a team that went 4-12 the season before along with a collection of low priced free agents & rookies. I still have faith in Saban and think that we can do as well or better next season. We still haven't heard anything on the CBA yet and I still think we'll be able to make some sort of move in free agency. So everyone needs to chill and just wait and see what unfolds........i feel like people can be very irrational on this board sometimes.
