The Predator
The Playoffs, the AFC East, a bye week and even homefield advantage are all within our reach... Denver and SD are tied for the best record in the AFC with 6-3, that only puts us one game back... we have beat Denver and hold the tiebreaker there... and they still have to play SD again.. so one of them has to lose again.. Denver also has KC and Oakland again.. so they could drop a couple.. we still have to play SD, unfortunatly it looks like with Lucas... and they have to face SF, Denver, Oakland and KC and buffalo..
So we are sitting in a spot to determine our fate...I think Homefield may be 12-4 or even 11-5... I think 11-5 is at least a bye week... maybe even 10-6.. which is just crazy to think... if Lucas can continue improving and the rest of the team can hold onto the ball and win one of these next 2 games... I think we should be ok..
A bye in the playoffs would surely help us, but I don't think it is totally neccessary to get to the SB... what has killed us in the past is coming into the playoffs on a slide.. then we have to fight and claw to win that first game... it takes too much out of the team that they have nothing left the following week and get blown out... If when Fiedler comes back we can get on a winning streak and head into the playoffs playing our best ball, even if it is a wildcard... I think we still have a good shot... the key is winning the first couple rounds with ease... if we have a close game in the first round and all our guys get beat up.. we are done.. weather it is the first round or after a bye.. if we have a game like that, we lose the next week.
We need to come out each week in the playoffs and beat the team without getting beat up... then we will be fine.. what ever spot we enter the playoffs in..
The main reason is cause with Fiedler this is not a wild-card team.. this is a great team... and no matter what spot we get in as, as long as we play like we can.. .it won't matter.
