JH has done a very good job as a backup QB but he has not proven that he can be the starter for us in the future. Everyone that agrees, say so here. It should be everyone.

has he done a good job filling in - yes

is he capable of being the starter for this team - yes

does he have things he can improve on - yes

do i think he will be our starter next year - probably not

it seems to me i have th same answers everytime. We brought culpepper here for a reason.

He plays good for most of the game and then throws it right to a defender, the things he does confuses me and should just chuck it out of bounds instead of throw an interception. But he gets rid of the ball quickly and makes quick decisions. But I do not think he is the future unless he goes on a roll.

Thats how backups play

I'm still not sure if he is capable of being the starter. He hasnt proven it yet.

i think he's a great backup but i mean daunte is next years starter and i can't wait to see what he can do after a year in the system and when he's 100% healthy

It cracks me up how people keep putting down Joey Harrington. I do not understand why. We are winning with him at QB. Because of Joey our offense actually moved the ball against Minnesota. We had -3 or 4 yards but I dont hear people putting down the offensive line or Ronnie Brown. Really he threw 2 TDs this past game but one got called back because of someone else's pentalty. Out of his 10 INTs this season at least 5 of the were tipped by our own WRs. Those 5 are on them not him. I heard someone say its not a coincidence that the same QBs passes are getting tipped. Well I have played up to the college level and under a well known coach with for NFL coaches for our WRs as well and the bottom line is if the ball touches ur hands u catch the ball.

I bet if Harrington was in from the season opener we would be sitting even closer in the playoff hunt because Daunte Culpeppers looked worse than any QB since Marino when he was in there. At least Harrington makes plays and doesnt hold onto the ball. I'm not saying Harrington is Peyton Manning or Tom Brady but hes not losing it for us either hes doing enough for us to win. So I say Joey haters enjoy the ride because with Joey at QB were back in the playoffs hunt and with the progress hes making by the week we just might be a force in the playoffs. GO MIAMI!

Whether or not this is true or not will remain to be seen. He has at least looked like he has tried to correct his mistakes. of course this is a question that we could also pose for Culpepper also. He really has not proven much since he has been here. Although we do know when he has been in we constantly were going for alot of long downs and 3 and outs. Injury or not Culpepper was the one who pushed himself out there before he may have actually been ready. And what did he prove by pushing himself out on the field. Not much except that he should have stayed on the bench and kept rehabbing leg. Because he has been just as bad as anything we have put out there the last few years. Hopefully he can heal up during offseason and show something different. But if I was Saban. I would be planning on draftin a young guy. As a backup plan.

I know the thread was a joke but go see Eazy-O's thread about Mare. We are winning with him as our kicker should we keep him? As fans can we not desire for better play from positions we feel are lacking? I for one wish for better play out of our QB position, even if we are winning. Just like I hope for better running out of Ronnie, better production from Randy, more TDs and yards from Chambers. That cracks you up?

Because of Joey our offense actually moved the ball against Minnesota. We had -3 or 4 yards but I dont hear people putting down the offensive line or Ronnie Brown.
Well you are just looking for negative Joey posts then because if you don't see people putting down the OL and Ronnie for their performance on Sunday you are blind. Joey moved the ball early but didn't late. Is it wrong for us to want someone who can move the ball the whole game?

Really he threw 2 TDs this past game but one got called back because of someone else's pentalty.
Yeah he also threw an int that the Defense bailed him out of. He did good the first half, and started the second half great. But after that nothing. We're lucky they only got 3 points.

Out of his 10 INTs this season at least 5 of the were tipped by our own WRs. Those 5 are on them not him. I heard someone say its not a coincidence that the same QBs passes are getting tipped. I agree they should catch it ... that doesn't make every throw from a QB a good throw if it touches the receivers hands. A receiver that is running across the middle and contorts their body and gets their hands on a ball thrown behind them doesn't equal a good throw.

I bet if Harrington was in from the season opener we would be sitting even closer in the playoff hunt because Daunte Culpeppers looked worse than any QB since Marino when he was in there. I don't know about us having a better record since our OL was still horrible. Joey started 0-3 remember? So if he is the spark why was it his fourth game we started winning? Maybe the team and especially the team is playing better?

Don't get me wrong if Joey becomes the second coming of Dan I'm the first to buy a jersey. I just don't see it yet. Yet. But he has to win this game I have a bet going with a Detroit fan, who actually still likes Harrington so it'll be interesting.

I agree that JH has done a very good job. However, he's done that as the STARTING QB, not the BACKUP QB. He has STARTED for six weeks and gone 3-3 during that time. I don't know if he should CONTINUE to be the STARTER, he doesn't consistenly play well, but, he seems to be improving each week. He could be a diamond in the rough, only time will tell.

So NO, I do NOT agree with you.
