For all of you that say we no chance at winning the wildcard i think you should rethink that. The Jaguars actually played good against "the hottest team in the nfl" tonight and are playing better as of late. If the ravens lose to the cowboys (which could easily happen) that jaguars game at the end of the season has some meaning. Its gonna be fun watching that cowboys game saturday now.

P.S. I think we are the hottest team in the NFL but the media and their man crush on Peyton and the colts would say differnt.

I say forget the wildcard cause right now Miami is thinking 2 wins and a afc east division championship to do the unthinkable.

WE ARENT WINNING THE WILDCARD! I hate to yell, but geez. This has been covered 1,000 times. There has been no real hope of the wildcard since the day the Pats beat us.

First of all, dont expect the Jags to hang with the Ravens. Actually, dont be so sure they lose on Saturday. I dont see how the Cowboys are much better or better at all than the Ravens.

Besides, even if the Ravens go 9-7, its not looking like the Pats will lose against Arizona(who is bad on the road and looks like they are content with cruising on into the 4 seed. Plus they are sitting 2 key players who could play if the game counted for much). I wouldnt be expecting the Bills to beat them either.

And even if the Pats did lose a game, we would still need to beat the Jets to trump them in a 10-6 tiebreak unless their loss was to the Bills.

And the most unlikely scenerio in all of this is us losing to the Chiefs. We cant win the wildcard at 11-5. We would win the division. And we just arent losing to the Chiefs.

So the only way we get in with a 10-6 record and a loss to the Jets would be Pats losing to the Bills and Ravens losing their last two. Its just not happening. Besides, I think we are going to beat the Jets anyway.

And oh yea, if we do lose to the Chiefs how in the hell do you figure us to beat the Jets.

Wildcard just isnt happeing. What is happening is a division title.

I think I keep forgetting the Patriots in my calculations. If those damn Patriots win out and Miami loses one of the next two, then I think they steal Miami's spot for a Wild Card (assuming the Ravens lose two).

So not only do we have to hope for the Ravens to lose, but the Patriots need to lose too. That's just too much worrying for my taste. Miami just needs to win the next two and control their destiny.

It is interesting though to think that Miami would play either the Jets, the Patriots, or the Ravens in the Wild Card playoff game. I think I would choose the Ravens from that list. Then the Jets. If Miami ends up playing those damn Pats because they sneak in, it will be an insane game after the way they acted in Miami last time.

How in the hell do you figure we would be better off playing the Ravens than the Jets??? Seriously. The Jets arent even close to the Ravens. Id rather play the Jets most of all, then the Pats. I really dont want to look at the Ravens, but Id rather play a playoff game than not.

Thanks for clearing up the situation about how unlikely it is for the fins to win a wildcard spot.

We are the biggest underdog. Nobody, besides the Miami Dolphins and their fans, can believe that Miami is a real contender. They can't because of how up and down Miami has been in recent years and how Miami went 1 - 15 last season. They just can't take a chance in those trendy media circles.

But the Dolphins are defintely real this season. They have a great team and the numbers speak for themselves. I still think Miami could have beaten the Jets in week one and they should have beaten the Ravens. If Pennington didn't throw that pick 6, the Ravens game would have been different.

Miami has only become more focused, more disciplined, and more hungry this season with every game. It will simply come down to whether or not they can keep it up. And why not? They are peaking at the end of the season. How perfect is that? It feels like they can win the next two. It is within reach.

Something for everyone to think about, if you like to think way ahead...

If Miami wins the next two games, they will either play the Ravens, Jets, or Patriots in the first round of the playoffs. So for example, if the Ravens lose twice, and the Jets only lose to the Dolphins in Week 17, then the Dolphins and Jets will square up again. It's possible. Can you imagine that game? Wow.

There is so much fight in the AFC East. It almost feels like the winner there will probably win the AFC because no one else will have seen as much adversity. The next two weeks are huge.

That would be nice to play the Jets in the first round at home. But also in that scenario, the Pats would have to drop the game vs. Buffalo and, like you said, the Ravens would have to lose out. I enjoy this scenario the most.

To tell you the truth who ever the fins play in the playoffs it will end up being a tough matchup if they get there.

If the fins end up making it to the playoffs it will be most likely against the ravens.

The cowboys will beat the ravens at home in the final game at Texas Stadium. The defense of the Cowboys is pretty solid and flacco is not playing his best ball right now.

I know, I know. I never said it was the most LIKELY scenario, but my favorite. And, before you get ahead of yourself, there's just as much a chance we would play the Patriots. If Baltimore drops a game and the Patriots win out, then we would play the Patriots. I only said I would like the scenario the most because we would play the Jets.:rolleyes2:

And Romo is? It is December right? He had one decent game against a Giants team that wasnt real concerned about that game. The Giants have to win this week vs. the Panthers. Thats the game that counts for them.

Besides, werent the Ravens scoring about 30 a game there for a while until they went up against the Steelers D?

I expect a low scoring game that could go either way. I think whichever QB makes less big mistakes will win. And Im not willing to bet on Romo against a tough D........IN DECEMBER.

Your putting way too much stock in Romo playing in December. There is no way you can judge how someone is gonna play just cause what month it is. Since its a saturday does that throw off his struggles in december? They are at home, they will win, the only think that will make him struggle is his back
