Jamarcus Russell Looks To Me Like A Clone Of Daunte Culpepper But Bigger Without The Fumbling Problems.... What Are Your Thought About Him? And Will He Still Be There At The 9 Spot? b4 YESTERDAY I WANTED TO SELECT HIM BUT I THOUGHT 9 WAS TOO EARLY BUT NOW IT MIGHT SEEM LIKE 9 IS TOO LATE.. ONLY TIME WILL TELL

I was thinking about him last night. If he comes out, I doubt if he'll be there at No. 9. We'd probably have to move up to get him.

If he declares, and if he excels at the combine, he could easily be the first quarterback taken. Quinn completely failed to take advantage of the best opportunity he could ever get to prove that he is the best QB in college. If Russel is available at 9, there's no way we pass on him.

I'll take him or Troy Smith.

People saying Troy Smith is too short to be an NFL QB is because they don't have anything else bad to say about him. I'd rather hear about height problems than vision, reading defenses, accuracy, etc.

P.S. Troy Smith is the same height as Drew Brees.

I don't know how you can make that statement while ignoring the quality of the TEAMS. LSU was bigger and faster at nearly every position. Have Quinn and Russell change uniforms and tell me honestly if ND would have had a chance in that game.
They are both good QB's.

i wasnt impressed with Russell really. He doesn't seem to have discipline mechanics-wise, he relies too much on his arm. did you see that INT he had with 12 min left in the 4th???

With Russells' measurables, his stock will only rise after the combine. The Raiders have traditionally taken QB's with huge arms and they don't get much bigger than his. A lot can change between now and late April, but if I were to bet right now on who would go first overall, I'd bet on Russell.

The only way he falls to # 9 is poor combine #'s or a positve test for banned substance. Like Warren Sapp fell to Tampa Bay because there was a rumor of a failed test.

ND was in the bowl game, and they got there by winning games. Saying that LSU was bigger, stronger, and faster is a polite way of saying that ND didn't show up. ND had a chance, and they didn't close the deal.

Duno!!

After hearing about Satan leaving (that MF) ,my first thought was QB and it was Russel the one i was thinking. I hope everybody fall for Quintin or whatever his name( sorry ,i hate ND & now Ala mierda) GO DOLPHINS!! :dolphins:

He's got a cannon for sure. It looked like he "flipped" that ball 40-50 yards on a rollout. I like him, but don't we have needs elsewhere, especially if Culpepper can finally get up to speed.

ND is not in the same class as the LSU's and USC's of CFB. ND gets to games like this b/c of name. it's nothing that they do on the field.

and russell & culpepper are nothing alike, except they are black qbs. russell is a pocket passer while c-pep is a dual threat, and russell is much more accurate. russell is not mechanically sound and seems to have a gunslinger's mentality, but that's not always a bad thing.

His size and cannon arm are going to propel him into the top 5. In all fairness, he did fumble and throw an interception last night. As has been mentioned many would say the Notre Dame doesn't even belong in a bowl game with LSU to begin with. May want to update your Sig...just a suggestion though.

Only if he falls to the 9th pick. And we can find a stupid team like the Raiders to take Culpepper off our hands.

I don't know - his sig is probably more appropriate now than before. Saban sure knew what he was doing, he just didn't let the rest of us in on it beforehand
