what kind of money and terms was he resigned for? Does anyone know?

I haven't heard,

But it's said to be a raise, and at least by giving him a raise the Phins showed that they have taken care of him, and along with the 50 chances we've given him hopefully he takes it into consideration when his contract is up again and re-signs. Especially if if value sky rockets do to two really good seasons.

According to ESPN
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3561962&campaign=rss&source=ESPNHeadlines
The Dolphins have signed Ricky Williams to a one-year contract extension that will keep him in the Miami backfield through the 2009-10 season.

The source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told ESPN's Chris Mortensen on Saturday that there was no signing bonus, but Williams' salary in 2009 could increase significantly over this year's base of $730,000.

The Miami tailback can increase his 2008 compensation with easily achievable incentives, the source said. Williams, 31, was scheduled to be a free agent in '09.

Good move! It keeps him from going to another team next year, for free anyways. a trade is always possible with this front office, too.

Ricky is the only true superstar on this team right now, I hope he stays clean and healthy.

It's not really a raise when you consider his signing bonus should be accounted for. This is a bigger signing then most look at it, because this continues to help Henne's development when he finally plays. Having a dominant run game improves any QB's chances of success.

Time and time again Ricky has let me down but I truly believe he's changed. I really believe he and Ronnie will both reach 1000 yards and we'll have one of the more dangerous running back tandems in the NFL.

I also really hope if he breaks out this year that we can resign him for another year or two. I don't want to see him hit the market, ever.

Watch Ricky's interview today on MiamiDolphins.com . He looks so much more comfortable and relaxed around reporters than he did in previous years.. He got some better help with his social anxiety disorder and looks very confident and comfortable in front of the microphones.

I think he has changed a lot. Good for him and his family. And lastly, for the Miami Dolphins.

Wow Greyboy thanks for letting me know about the new Ricky interview on aquavision....I didn't even check it today being it was Labor day.

Man that was a great interview....he's like "I'm getting tired of hearing J-E-T-S jets jets jets" lol...he said for the Jets games in miami there is just as many jet fans as dolphin fans..

I think he finally grew up. The pressure was too much for a guy like him, and now he is at peace with playing. Hopefully he can give us two good years or so.

Wer gonna have the sickest running game for the next 2 years, and maybe more.

The best part is, if he lets us down and smokes again it doesnt matter cause we already have ronnie brown(and maybe Jalen Parmele)

he wants that money. give him some incentives..... and he's going to rip this league up.
he's running for dollars.

I know they didn't want him to be a free agent after this year, but in reality, this most likely represents the last contract he'll get as a Miami Dolphin. At the end of this he'll be 33 (which in RB years is like 60  ), and while he hasent got the carries on his body the last few years, dont forget this guy has been a workhorse since he was at Texas. Even if he explodes the next two years, I dont see us keeping him around, unless it's for some crazy low league min type contract.
