We already had one of the best qbs of all time. How many superbowls did we win ? We have a team problem. We are not going to win championships until we build a complete football team. A great qb can't fix all the ills of the this team. We are not a qb away from a championship. We need a hell of alot more than that. Sad to say I'd rather lose and build talent , then overachive and never have the opportunity to get some special talent on this football team.

Well said. 400 yards is not a number for a bad qb. Joey needs people to hold on to the ball, and STOP TIPPING IT INTO THE AIR!! I do think he needs to work on his aim, he does have those passes that dont make it to wide open receivers, but with reps in pressure situations, he will or will not overcome it. But like oyu said it is not ALL Joey.

Our problem yesterday was NOT at QB! It was WR/TE drops and failure of the secondary to show up again.

From the looks of it you are right we don't have "a" quarterback problem we have "two" quarterback problems.

I agree we have PLENTY of depth at QB, and now we need the "team" to step it up... So, with that said, let's say we do come in dead last this year, what would we do with the #1 pick in the draft? Where do we start?

I'm a big proponent of taking the best player available if it makes sense. I really like Calvin Jackson out of Georgia Tech. He's a big fast receiver with great hands. It's still a little too early to speculate. I would also like to see us get better guys upfront offensively.

QB is much to blame as our receivers. Joey should of hit the receivers in stride so the receivers can make a play out of. bad things happen when you make a bad throw. joey shouldnt get a free pass esp when this has been happening ever since he took over as our starting QB.

Not to rain on Joey's parade, but 414 yards on 62 attempts really isn't that special. That's only an average of 6.7 yards per attempt. Quarterback play has been a problem this season. Our entire offensive play has been a problem. We have talent, I know it, I've seen it. Chambers, McMichael and Brown all have so much talent that we just haven't seen this year. Once we get Daunte back to full health and actully get these guys to perform on a week to week basis. The problem is that once they finally do, our defense will be too old and it'll be time to rebuild them.

Not to say he has done a great job but he hasn't been the total problem. He locks on to WR's too often - he hasn't been able to hit a deep pass to save his life BUT he has a shaky Oline in front of him and defenses who have no repsect for it. Our WR's and TE's cannot catch a cold - I just can't see why these guys are not held accountable. My biggest complaint with Saban is he is so darn slow to make a change. Why should McMike start next game? Maybe you send a message to the team that enough is enough - these guys have no individual consequences. Harrington has had to deal with a ridiculous amount of drops - just think about how each game could have changed if those catches were made and the first downs or TD's counted. The momentum switch we could have had. Would of Could of I know but you can't pin that on the QB - the WR's and OL have been worse this year!
