As a diehard lifelong Dolphin fan it saddens me to see the state of the organization. What was once a proud and winning franchise, is not the bottom of the barrel. The downward spiral off attendance will keep happening until the fans are rewarded with some type of winning consistency. I for one hope we get Rob Chudzinski or any offensive Guru. I am tired of the same retreads year after year with their 1980's conservative mentality. I long for the days that this team was not boring!

#1st choice Rob Chudzinski
#2nd choice Pete Carmichael JR
#3rd choice Philibin
#4th choice Wannstache!!! JK... that guy and spielman put us in the biggest hole ever..!!!

Lets see what our owner does!! Ill give him a chance atleast to prove he knows what he is doing..

I hear you, but we don't necessarily need an offensive coach. We just need a good coach. Just remember if we get a defensive minded coach, it doesn't mean our offense is doomed. Belichick was a defensive coach, Tomlin was a DC, etc.

A defensive minded coach is OK. As long as he has a competent OC and understands how his O can attack an opposing D. The truly good coaches can do this. See the hoodie demon as evidence.

Sad but true...a once marquee franchise Don Shula built is now a bottom feeder. When the "Don" left this team after an embarrassing playoff loss (imagine that, playoffs......playoffs?). This team was the winningest team since the NFL merger.......now we have lost that distinction and are fading.

I am now for Marty ball as Shula always thought highly of him, he has always won no matter where he has been. Maybe with a good owner Marty could actually win a championship.

If I was the GM this would by coaching search:

1st choice Rob Chudzinski (with Mike Shula OC)
#2nd choice Marty
#3 Pete Carmichael JR
#4th Philibin
and while I was at it I would interview Brian Billick.

The thing is though, a coach like Fisher probably wouldn't even give a team like the Bills or Jags the time of day. Miami shouldn't be compared to them. Don't forget that a big reason why the Rams even were able to enter the Fisher sweepstakes was because of the family connection with his agent.

Not sure why the Miami job would be so much more attractive than the jacksonville job so why shouldnt Miami be compared to them.

Fisher chose the Rams over us, and the Rams are on par with teams like Buffalo and the Jags....It's an "If A equals B, and B equals C, Then A equals C" type of thing.

From everything I have read he picked Miami, but Ross would not give him full control...there is no shame in that, infact I think we save face in this situation. What if Fisher never wanted to come here, and all we were doing is throwing money at him and then took the Rams job then we look foolish. I am actually proud of Ross for sticking to his guns...for now

It just wasn't a fit here I think he gave the Dolphins serious consideration but it just didn't work out. I think it's still a better team than the Rams at the moment. If they screw up getting a coach and QB than the Dolphins are possibly back to the bottom of the barrel like 2007.
