we had to broke a record in drafting the most non fbs players in a draft. I get we need high character players but only 3 fbs players? this draft still has me shaking my head. did they send scouts to any other conferences than the sec, and then just small school programs? we hopefully fixed the oline but lets not pretend there were not prospects on the board when we picked that could have helped us at other glairing needs

As I mentioned in another thread, this draft may be brilliant or it could be another lost draft opportunity. It is over and time to relax and move on to FA signings.
I agree though, I would have drafted differently. It is Hickey and Philbins job to lose.
It almost seems like they had no faith in the scouts that cover the big schools and more faith in the smaller school scouts.
Maybe there is something in the training camp office environment that causes total retardation? Lead paint, radon gas?

Funny thing is, none of this matters in the end. It's all about Wins and Losses. Last year we drafted guys all over the big conferences and set a record for futility of impact in a draft class and missed the playoffs.

Drafts aren't won before or immediately after, they are won after the season and the season after that and after that.

We have took plenty of crap players from big schools recently

Look at the player, not irrelevant crap

You could tell leadership was an attribute that weighed heavily on his big board. That gets developed well in those big fish small pond scenarios. Interested to see how it pans out.

Hard to do worse than the last ireland draft . Hickey had no choice but to concentrate on the worst offensive line in football.

the draft has the potential to being brilliant or disaster. I only see maybe four of the players being on the roster in 3 years. James, landry, turner, and tripp

Have you set the record for most whiny posts yet?

Seriously. Speaking of records, how many consecutive negative thoughts has the OP come up with since Thursday?

yea and will continue. you are blind if you don't see the potential disaster this draft is

What's the worst that will happen, Miami misses the playoffs for the 6th straight year?

So it will be a disastrous draft if 50% of this year's drafted players are on the team in three years?

I'm not sure what the percentages are of drafted players still playing with their respective teams after three years.
