everyone keeps talking about who we can sign, who will be there June 22, We have three QB's already, 2 that Saban sign himself, We won't go after a QB

the only one Saban "signed" himself was Frerotte, and i'm sure that had a lot to do with Scott Linehan.

So you are comfortable with a project and two career backups then?
 
I think we should at least sniff around a couple of QB's...with our O line I believe having an extra one wouldn't hurt
 
yeah even if u think feely wil win the competition whats wrong with a little more competion with a rookie or june 1st cut. we shouldve got walters in the draft but ok we didnt thats ok feely willl struggle and ferrote will step in so we need to have a futere in the wings. and what are u talking about we wont sign a qb saban had a press conference and told eeryine he was going to sign a project qb so research befor u talk.

Saban resigned Sage, plus, we need to give AJ a chance, he was set up for failure, no line, no runnung game and he had no love from the coach.....
 
These posts kept coming up last year when we had AJ, Jay, Sage and Storner, and people were wanting more QB's. I just don't get it. How many do we need?

easy junior, I know what he said, but we won't have a roster spot for 4 QB's, we have to many other positions on

resigning sage was no daunting task - he was already on our team and had no other teams after him. so i don't "credit" saban with bringing him here.

second, i think feeley should have a shot too, but since when does that mean not bringing in someone to challenge him? i want the best guy we can get to play the position, not some guy "just because" we spent a pick on him.

If Matt Roth is worse than Kevin Carter or Vonnie Holliday, you think we're going to play him "just because" we spent a 2nd on him?

no freakin' way.

so i say bring in more competition. i don't like to put all my eggs in one basket. we KNOW frerotte isn't the answer (just a backup), and we KNOW sage isn't the answer (just a clipboard-holder). So its either Feeley or bust at this point...
 
actually Miami is going to sign a rookie free agent quarterback. Last time I checked nearly all teams take 4 or more quarterbacks into the qb schools and beginning of training camp.

Well regardless, the QB position is a much bigger liability than it is an asset. Going into a season with Feeley and Frerrote does not make me confident.

well yeah, look who you mentioned!

the theory isn't to stockpile QB's, but to sign one who is better than one of the aforementioned QB's to replace him....
 
I thought it was wierd for the Dolphins to sign SAGE to a contract...but I still think Saban is willing to carry 4 QB's this year..He wants a QB that he chose himself......so I can picture him picking up a undrafted free agent to come in and compete with sage..QB IS NOT A NEED RIGHT NOW..it could be if feeley doesnt do too well this year
