We need a new punter

I hate when people act as if kickers and punters aren't part of a football team or deserve no respect.
 
Turk is a fine punter. A lot better then Mark Royals. Your wrong buddy! lol
 
This has got to be without a doubt one of the most asinine posts I've ever seen on this forum. Matt Turk has been nothing but a model of consistancy on a team that desperately needs something of the sort. To say he sucks is such a low blow that I had trouble reading your replies to other peoples Pro-Turk defenses without just shaking my head.

You're going to lose so much respect and credibility by attacking a guy like Turk. It's very rare you find a punter with his size, which is 6'4" 236, and not to mention a versatile one. Even in his own age the guy is still headhunting everytime he punts the ball, trying to help out get the tackle. He's had plenty of them, not to mention some tackles that otherwise could have been touchdowns.

His play is fine - you can count on him to punt the ball and get the position well enough. He doesn't shank, like Royals, which is something you need badly. If you shank a punt it's no different than just going for it on 4th down and getting a turnover on downs.

You know what else? He holds the ball for Mare on kicks, and Olindo's play is drastically better when this happens. Just another factor.

I'll defend Matt Turk because I think he is not only a standout guy, but a standout player. He has shown that he is in fine form this preseason, and will be an asset to us this year.

Next time, why don't you attack a player that deserves it, alright? :fire:
 
People you gotta remember that Mark Came in at Mid-Season so he really didn't have time to adjust and learn the playbook and the system. Now that he's had a full year he should be even better. :roflmao:
 
Turk is one of the 10 worst in the NFL easily
 
Cmon now .Thats the least of our problems this season.He may not have gaudy stats but he does a pretty good job of punting inside the 20 and he has a rapport with Mare which does matter .(Except when they are in the dirt)
 
ROFL, there are so many unintelligent posts here. How can you say Turk is bottom 10 in the NFL? Do you know ANYTHING about football? Some people jsut disgust me. Turk is a very important asset to this team. Some people discredit a punter. But without a punter, that leaves our defense playing with 40 yards instead of 60. Think about it...
 
With all the @#%*& going on this offseason what retard started this thread. The frigin punter get a clue don't you think the FO has a few more pressing things to deal with. Plus the guy is avg like 44 yds in the preseason. Get a frigin clue but thanks for the laugh. this has to be the stupidest offseason arguement I seen here. Turk? Lose the water boy he not fast enough and the 3rd string back up long snapper sucks get rid of him.
