We need a VP of football operations to hold Ireland accountable

The Dolphins need a VP or President of Football Operations to oversee Ireland's actions and hold him accountable. Parcells filled that role but we haven't filled it since he stepped down. I kind of wish Ross would of hired Carl Peterson to take that role so he can hold Ireland accountable on his personnel moves. I'm not a huge fan of Peterson but at least we would have somebody to keep their eye on Ireland and all his stupid moves, Ross is not a football guy and he is blinded and thinks Ireland is the second coming of Christ. Right now Ireland is running the whole damn show, he makes all the personnel moves, he makes all the decisions and nobody holds him accountable, he could sign jamarcus russell tomorrow and Ross would think its an amazing signing and nobody would do anything about it. Until we hire a VP of football operations to oversee Ireland nothing will change.

Too bad Marino doesn't have Elway's administrative personality. If Marino brought that fire he had on the field to the office, he would have cleaned **** up. But I don't think he's the corporate type of guy.

oh yes because Ireland has put us in a position to win the AFC East hasn't he? we were 11-5 in 08 and have completely regressed, it is fans like you who are in denial and think because we drafted pouncey and Long everything is ok!
